Translation for Rules, and Guides. - Raphi - 2015-07-20 16:18 Hi, When you're not an English people, it's difficult to read guides, and rules, who are in English. I think if we take a tranlation, by many persons with different nationalities, at the end we can have good translation for many, many players who doesn't understand English, or if they have School level. ![]() (If it's accepted, I can make French translation.) The translation can be too for tests ![]() (If i'm in wrong section, sorry) RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - BP - 2015-07-20 16:31 Of course it would be useful, and in an ideal world it would already exist. In actuality, it's a massive task. Not only to write the rules/guides in other languages, but to maintain them and make sure it's all accurate. There's nothing actually stopping you from going ahead and doing an unofficial one. RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - Borja - 2015-07-20 16:39 Its a good idea, i will be able to translate into spanish, but as BP said, it will be hard work for admins who dont speak other languagues to check that were written correctly RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - KooKoo - 2015-07-20 16:41 In before 'You should learn english' responses. RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - Raphi - 2015-07-20 20:21 yes KooKoo, but for the tests, it will be more helpful for answers, for example i miss my 1st COP-test, because most of the questions, i haven't understand and Google Translation isn't helpful at all. RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - KooKoo - 2015-07-20 20:23 I didn't say anything negative regarding your suggestion. RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - Carl - 2015-07-20 21:34 Insim money would be a great incentive for people to contribute to translating the rules and guides lol. RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - Raphi - 2015-07-20 22:20 Pretty good idea ![]() So, I can translate for French and I think for German, but German I can't translate all (School level, and vocabulary it's not important, I have a German correspondent) So, now it's just for amins to implement translation on the website. ![]() RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - Sebas - 2015-07-21 02:34 I'd love to take part into translating the rules into another language! As people know i'm Canadian french and could help doing it. Not sure about the whole "Insim money incentive" thing as it's pretty much helping other players to better understand the rules. I suggest we try to concentrate on some "urgent" languages (arabic, spanish/portugese, Finnish) first then move our way to less important ones (French, ?) RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - KooKoo - 2015-07-21 03:25 Don't the french people in TC know English? ![]() RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - Borja - 2015-07-21 06:36 KooKoo , most of them , yes. But some others , no. Im finishing the translationg into Spanish RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - KooKoo - 2015-07-21 07:48 Nice ![]() RE: Translation for Rules, and Guides. - Pipa - 2015-07-21 09:13 I voted no, since it hasn't worked well in the past. However unofficial translations here in the forum can't hurt at all. Maybe we could create a subforum for them and one thread per language. People from each language could do quality control themselves and keep it updated. So yes, we translate in French after. |
