1 grid can usually get quite chaotic with all the different paces. I hope it doesn't screw up the quicker ones' paces.

Practice race is at 7 UTC tonight. Don't forget to register for it on the CityLiga forum.

I should have got a 142 but literally had about 10 mins before I had to go out. Annoying how badly I timed it, I only managed around 3 laps.

This will be my first race with wheel, not looking forward to close quarter battles. It's almost like learning to drive again Biggrin

We all begin our journey like that, Nismo. Just finish the race for me will ya, please?

Such an entertaining race. Simply because both grids were combined. Meaning 38 cars were on 1 track. As you can expect, it was carnage and a seriously unlucky race for us all, our race pace was spot on, our positions were not Tongue

I had 6 hours to practice and set a grid qual time, resulting in a grid 2 qualification.
I had a further 6 hours before the race to actually practice...

Pete was been bounced around by Morvai, Connor was been bounced around by myself and Pete. Nismo, was the first person we have ever seen in our racing career to be disqualified Biggrin Biggrin

RE: CityLiga 21 - Discussion Thread - Carl - 2015-11-02 22:04

I had consistent problems with the chicane before the home straight and corkscrew. Being blue flagged every 15 seconds was not something that was helping me concentrate. I then began to make further mistakes in which the Admin deemed dangerous driving lol. Nevertheless, it was good fun and I'm sure we all had a good race despite our positions.

I had over 105 laps practice prior to race day, I may of just had a bad day. However, I was driving with wheel which is something new.

It was just unfortunate, a lot of people to deal with for inexperienced racers. Don't let it put you off Tongue

Shit happens.

Some pics from today:

I had some great battles and overall a clean race, just unlucky I touched the grass and spun, damaging my car. As Luke says; shit happens! Smile

Signed up for City Liga hoping to participate in the next race (FOX @ SO6), managed a 1:02.75. Getting there Biggrin I Quite like this FOX and the layout! I can only imagine what it's like with 20 other people flying round the track. Tongue

Nice to see another GB representative enter the competition. The flag of GB simply looks too good.

Make that 30-35 people Biggrin

They won't merge the grids next round.

The repay from Mondays race is now up, might watch it just to see what happened in the rest of the field.

RE: CityLiga 21 - Discussion Thread - Carl - 2015-11-04 00:58

Hopefully I don't come up on this..

Huge grid separation happens at 8:00, although it is not shown.

Lap 5 summed up:
Around 40 mins in is where the commentators just start roasting me. This is my worst CityLiga race, but I will redeem myself.

RE: CityLiga 21 - Discussion Thread - MousemanLV - 2015-11-04 05:21

You will get there. You have plenty of time to improve, Nismo.
Stick to your wheel, no giving up.

RE: CityLiga 21 - Discussion Thread - Pete - 2015-11-04 11:19

To sum up my race, I had an excellent qualifying session, starting 3rd. Got way too close to Kovacs in the uphill chicane and lost downforce, sending me wide. I then had an incident with Morvai a few laps later where he essentially misjudged how much room he had on my inside and spun me round, which ultimately cost me a position in the rankings, down from 5th to 6th with 2 races to go. It was a fun race but frustrating because I definitely had the pace for a top 5 finish.

If I get solid points in the remaining races I may be able to salvage a place or two in the championship.
