The point of a safe distance is so that you can stop in plenty of time before rear ending someone.. RE: Report - multiple people - Brad - 2015-10-11 17:58 Hi, I'll address each time-stamp separately: Orange: No further action necessary Green: Actionable (see details) Timestamps: 25:33 - D·ist Hasan and Ä™pREAL ignores my sirens and Hasan crashes into me. He should have slowed for sirens, but I also feel you could have cleared the carriageway and reduced the chances of an accident. If you were stopped on Lane 1 of a motorway with hazard-warning lights on, you can only blame any car that may hit you up to a certain extent. 26:54 - [RDSR] Thijs begins to follow my chase way too close. Causing him at 27:00 to nearly rear end me at high speed. He left a good gap, but maybe didn't react as quickly as he could have. Accident was avoided so there isn't much to act on here. 31:45 - [TOW]Gàñ¿Æ comes speeding into the roundabout, not paying attention to an oncoming siren. (rule 1.15 for reference) I fail to see the issue here; he was already entering the roundabout and the suspect was on wrong side. He stopped where he could and let you pass. 33:30 - KasTr0 ignores an incoming siren. (rule 1.15 for reference) Yes, in a perfect world, the LX4 would have moved further aside, but he was on HIS side of the road, whereas the cops were not. Just because sirens are on, it doesn't mean cops can / should cease to check the map before doing dangerous maneuvers. 33:45 - LUKILUTY12 ignores a siren ahead, and crashes into the chase with no sorry what so ever. Agreed 34:40 - Soleimsen ignores sirens. User is brand-new and will receive a warning 35:20 - [TOW]Gàñ¿Æ ignores sirens once again and causes a major collision. User did brake as soon as he came over the crest and saw you. 36:04 - [RDSR] LosTonny ignores a siren ahead, he is in a chase himself, however, that doesn't allow him to pass like that, does it? He should have been more careful, but there was a gap and no collision occurred. 36:18 - LUKILUTY12 ignores sirens once again. User has received a confirmable warning, with recommendation of a short-ban if a re-occurrence is seen 37:08 - kxäit blasts right past the chase, he doesn't even lift off. He is in a UF1, so "blasts past" is ambitious! Seriously, though, I can see that from his view the chase was stopped and it was (relatively) safe. 37:35 - D·ist Hasan rams into Ghost[COP] making him flip. That really wasn't a hard hit, it's the danger of being a UFR, really. 37:50 - D·ist Hasan rams into Ghost[COP] making him flip once again. Let me ask you: If roles were reversed and you did the move Hasan did as cop and busted your UFR suspect, would you honestly have an issue with it? That force was not unreasonable with the force cops were giving Hasan. -------------------------------------------------------- Now, from the green time-stamps above, both probably could have been resolved by speaking to the users. They are both new and probably would have reasonable attitudes. I'd point you in the direction of the UR policy, specifically: UR Policy Wrote:IMPORTANT NOTICE: You should always try talking to rule-breakers first. A lot of problems can be resolved by politely talking to people. With that being said, severe rule-breaks should still be reported after. I appreciate people who ignore (or don't react as quick as you'd expect to) sirens is very annoying when you are a cop, but you have to remember that sirens are not a pass to avoid all crashes; sometimes you need to place your car in a less dangerous place, to account for the fact that not everyone has perfect reaction times. Action has been taken as described. Thank you for your report. It has now been moved to the archives. |
