Problem Found On Insim! - Frozen - 2012-02-11 06:21

Hello everyone, i saw when i was on tc this morning , that the ODO: KM Counter from the car , goes faster up that the T: KM Counter from distance.

My ask is:

Is that normally? Because if the KM Counter from car goes fast , the T: KM Counter must go at the same time or no?

Waiting for reply Smile Regards and here a picture from what i mean

I mean , I can get faster a ''ODO'' Km bonus that a ''T:'' Km bonus , so if i start with ODO: 0 And T: 0 , ODO Get faster 100.

Regards And Hope It Solves

Car ODO: total driven in that car

Trip: total km driven since last connect/safe pit Smile

Not a bug.

No, i don't mean that.

I mean that if we have all at same time 0 , and the counter counts ''KM'' the km distance must go up at same time , not 1 faster then other.

Can you make a video and upload it to YouTube then post it here? I don't understand the issue through the images and your explanation then.

the numbers you see are not the egzat amout it will go out of sinck

RE: Problem Found On Insim! - Frozen - 2012-02-11 06:33

I try to explain better:

For example:

You pick your XFR and you start driving , Your ODO KM Counter is at 300km and your Trip Km Is at 0.

U go at 200 km/h and u see the odo km and trip km going up , but the odo km have already 303km ( (Goes 3 km up ) and the trip km have only 2,4 km .(Goes 2,4km up )

That's what i mean ,

Both counters have invisible digits as the underlying value is stored in metres. So, if you cars's odometer shows 303.2, the real value might me 303.244. Hence, both counters don't visually change the digits at the same time.

A trip counter in a real car is never 100% correct, from imperfection in roll diameter of the wheel.
Some use aftermarket wheels&tires, witch might give a significant difference, but still legal.

This minor "flaw" makes it better imo Wink

lol not all cars trip meters count the distance from wheels anymore, not even many, not even my sierra.

RE: Problem Found On Insim! - Malibu - 2012-02-12 12:45

Yeah I don't know how else it would be counted then lol..

RE: Problem Found On Insim! - bullet - 2012-02-12 12:49

I doubt they use GPS Tongue
Or atleast not in old cars.

RE: Problem Found On Insim! - Malibu - 2012-02-12 12:50

And GPS is even more inaccurate afaik.. 0o

RE: Problem Found On Insim! - Johan. - 2012-02-12 12:53

GPS is for speed messure alot more accurate than the normal speedo-meter in your car. Not sure about the distance.

When You cruising with continuous speed. If You accelerate or braking GPS isn't accurate...

RE: Problem Found On Insim! - bullet - 2012-02-12 13:18

Also, GPS wouldn't work in tunnels, with bad weather etc.

RE: Problem Found On Insim! - Stevo - 2012-02-12 13:36

Must be magic. Nothing else for it. Unless the car is religious?
