New gaming wheel - Paulius - 2016-01-05 17:13 Yo, red couple reviews about G27, and it looks like its "made in chinese". Unfornutely, DFGT are already sold out, and probably for ever, sad, cuz I was interested in it. So looking to buy a wheel under 200€ or 215$, any recommendations? RE: New gaming wheel - fWANKy - 2016-01-05 17:27 Do not go with logitech and their cheap ass wheels. For a cheap whel this is highly put together, has excellent reviews and will outlast any logitech product by a few years atleast. Have a problem? They have great customer support also. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-Ferrari-Force-Feedback-Wheel-y/dp/B015CNQW24 RE: New gaming wheel - Audiojack - 2016-01-05 17:31 Thrustmaster has really got their stuff together in the recent years. I would recommend and buy their products as well. RE: New gaming wheel - KooKoo - 2016-01-05 18:43 Unfornutely, logitech isn't good. You can go with thrusmaster or fanatec, it's way better, I red the reviews. RE: New gaming wheel - Pete - 2016-01-05 20:28 I agree with Frank, the Thrustmaster T150 is probably the best entry-level wheel you can get so I definitely recommend that if you have a small budget. If you have a bit more to spend, you could consider the Thrustmaster T300. The latest Logitech G29/G920 wheels are more expensive than Thrustmaster's equivalent. RE: New gaming wheel - Sebas - 2016-01-05 20:53 As everybody said, Thrustmaster and Fanatec have better products than Logitech. They might a little bit on the more expensive side but they last longer in general. As for my own opinion, I prefer Logitech wheels (personal preference) but i'm not an intense gamer. I play maybe once or twice per week so i'm not a great reference point. RE: New gaming wheel - Stephen - 2016-01-05 22:43 I wouldn't touch anything thrustmaster.. logitech products are yet to let me down. Why? what happened to your thrustmaster product(s)? RE: New gaming wheel - Paulius - 2016-01-05 23:12 Thank you for help guys! Looked at trustmaster wheels, found one for 170punds.. And fanatec website is down, so need to wait to see what they have to offer. RE: New gaming wheel - Stephen - 2016-01-06 01:54 I paid 700 for a t500 that lasted a week past the warranty period. The shop or thrustmaster didnt want to help me out either. The clutch pedal spring broke, the wheel had issues being recognised in windows even after trying different versions/pc's and when it did finally (and briefly) register in windows the firmware update failed for no reason so the wheel is now a big paper weight that would need a new mainboard to function again. Also you'd think such a 'good' brand would have at least 2 years on it, they don't have much confidence in their products if they only give it a years warranty. RE: New gaming wheel - KooKoo - 2016-01-06 07:47 I've never experienced issues like that and I bought my wheel with no warranty. So if its dead I don't know what to do. RE: New gaming wheel - Timo - 2016-01-06 11:49 T150 seems to be a good deal, although I don't like the pedals. I heard the brake pedal doesn't have enough drag, so that it needs to be adjusted. I could be wrong. The wheel itself should be way better than any logitech product. RE: New gaming wheel - Razz - 2016-01-06 14:15 Thurstmaster pedal quality isn't as good as you would expect. I had to open my pedals a ton of times to fix them because the spring would keep snapping. My life's been so much better after buying the g29 saving me time from the hassle of opening the pedals every few days. I'm using mouse forever ![]() RE: New gaming wheel - Jimmy - 2016-01-06 17:46 I had g27 for 4 and half year, broke last year only things i had problem with was throttle cleaned it two times then it worked perfect RE: New gaming wheel - BP - 2016-01-06 17:49 (2016-01-06 17:46)Jimmy Wrote: I had g27 for 4 and half year, broke last year only things i had problem with was throttle cleaned it two times then it worked perfect So what's broken on it then? I find thrustmaster funny trying to charge people 700+ dollars for their wheels. My shifter died one time on my g27, I called them and they shipped me a replacement the same day. Ive used logitech since 2004 and have had to clean pedals on a dfp and replace a shifter on g27. My friend has a T500rs or whatever it is and his pedals broke after a 4 hour sesh. RE: New gaming wheel - MousemanLV - 2016-01-19 05:52 Had DFGT. I destroyed it under 3 years. Had G27, sold it because I was having way too many issues with it (pedal spiking, weird FFB noises). I fixed pedal spiking by using an electric contact cleaner but such things simply do not last long enough. Now I got a Thrustmaster T150 that has 1080 degrees of rotation. It might have two low end plastic pedals but I am already faster with them than I was with the G27 pedals and the FFB is stronger than the one on G27. Tbh, if you want to be a fast racer, you do not need a fancy wheel..if you want the experience, might want to get a G27 (there are better things out there but way more expensive). RE: New gaming wheel - Pete - 2016-01-20 08:30 T150 or T300 (+ TH8A Shifter + T3PA Pro Pedals) is really your best bet at the moment for a really good rig. The shifter and extra pedals are optional addons. |
