Is this a joke?! - Johan. - 2012-03-11 20:26

Seriously, just 50% of Jamaica is still available to drive, and the rest is 'cut-off'. What is it these days with TC and layouts?

Relax. As you see the track is not fully open, it should be this coming up next weekend i believe.

RE: Is this a joke?! - Johan. - 2012-03-11 20:37

Thank god, I was afraid we were limited to a tiny track (again)..

RE: Is this a joke?! - Sinoco - 2012-03-11 22:48

It's under construction. Tongue

RE: Is this a joke?! - Johan. - 2012-03-11 23:19

Kind of 'weird' to change to a WIP layout tbh..

RE: Is this a joke?! - KaraK - 2012-03-11 23:39

I don't see how this is a suggestion?

RE: Is this a joke?! - Malibu - 2012-03-11 23:48

He suggests the layout to be open again, but the confusion has been answered so a lock I guess?

RE: Is this a joke?! - Josh - 2012-03-11 23:55

Lock isn't really needed.

RE: Is this a joke?! - Johan. - 2012-03-11 23:59

Well, I never placed it here..

Its just an interim map for a week until the regular map change takes place next weekend. However, its meant like an alternative to Jamaica Deluxe.

Little sidenote: Since the open config was implemented in LFS, we have to use the open config tracks as the normal race versions suddenly act different than before.
For instance, even in cruise mode, the lap time is always shown. Therefore we gotta use the open track config and cut off the unused parts.

Anyway, it attracted more people than Sydney did. (btw I believe people actively hate Sydney lol)

I wouldn't hate Sydney, if there were over 15 people to drive/cruise/race/drift/chase with. I usually try to go to Sydney and wait if some people was attracted to come there, but never happened Sad

The only way of getting Sydney populated is force people to use it. But for that time we should turn off the forums as the discussions will become somewhat unpleasantWink

RE: Is this a joke?! - Elmo - 2012-03-12 16:08

Sydney is actually pretty awesome when well populated - it even remained full for a few days when Montana was on the other side once Wink
The problem is that it does have a critical mass and below that it is rather boring, so getting enough people in to make if fun is quite hard.
It also shares the Kyoto problem of not having enough roads - it'd be much more interesting if more of the closed-off link roads were drivable.

Well i have to say i quite like it, especially Highway 2 / The Beach junction and the new armco that seperates both sides of road so we now can't cut the corner
