UK Fire Service - Pump Horn (Scania Siren) - Quattro10V - 2016-10-23 16:21 Hey guys, I've decided to add some realism for those who often play as the RES units within TC. This will mainly be beneficial for people who live in the UK or who like the UK fire appliance sirens. RAS released some Whelen Alpha sirens, used by fire services around the UK: https://www.dropbox.com/s/t4hlaj0e6v23kty/Whelen%20Alpha.rar A lot of our fire appliances use a different system to most emergency vehicles, meaning the horn is not sounded when the tone is changed or turned off altogether. As a result of this I have not managed to find a video of a clear horn being sounded from an appliance within the UK. To tackle this issue, I went into Euro Truck Simulator and found a realistic sounding truck horn, which luckily, due to the mod I was using, was from a Scania. Which means one thing: we now have a real horn for tone changing in LFS. Rename the file 'PUMPHORN' to 'HORN1' and place in the same folder as all other sirens. This works especially well because most of our appliances only use two tones, the same way that TC Lights does by default.
