Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - Liam :P - 2012-03-17 12:25

Hello,
I think that the speed limit should be rasied to 100mph. As its way to slow for the layout.
I like the layout but not the limit.
This is my opinion.
Post what you think Smile

RE: Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - Roba - 2012-03-17 12:50

I'd like 85mph / 140kph

RE: Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - luffydu35 - 2012-03-17 18:40

140 or 160 Km/H should be cool

RE: Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - Ash - 2012-03-17 18:55

Id like 40mph around the whole track tbh, to be realistic with real life, and cop chases would appear more 'high octane' etc Smile

Ie for Aston:

Highway 1/2: 70mph
Hillside Road/Main Street: 40mph
Manor Road/Hillside Pass/Pond Lane/Snake Pass: 30mph

RE: Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - Tommer - 2012-03-17 18:59

To be honest I think the speed limit is fine as it is. Just because it's a straight doesn't mean you have to raise the speed limit to account for foot heavy people.

Don't forget people are pulling in and out of the parking bays and you are not forced to follow the limit, leaving it at 75 mph also allows the speeders to overtake the cruisers too Wink

140km/h is good !

RE: Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - Stephen - 2012-03-18 00:29

H2 is narrower than the one on the old layout, so I doubt upping the speed limit would contribute to safe driving there.

RE: Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - AdamSRT - 2012-03-19 00:41

120km/h A bit too slow. 140km/h or 160km/h make it good. : )

RE: Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - Roba - 2012-03-19 05:22

The narrow spot is frustrating with someone doing 120 and your suspect is loosing you, overtake the car from the grass and it'll most likely see sirens atm and pull over on you, or then drive behind him for 10 seconds untill he realises there's a cop car behind him and then he gives room.

Upping the speedlimit could help with that tho, but could cause more accidents with slower and faster cars there.

Don't overtake on the grass that's asking for trouble Tongue

Use !move giving plenty of warning and you won't have to slow down. And if they don't move give 'em a report.

If there's a pileup or a tow blocking the road, there's an easy gap to nip across that i purposely left for that situation, since it's the overtaking lane people can just move down a lane to avoid you, but I would advise doing early map checks so you know where to expect to avoid people.

Here's what I mean;

Not as much trouble as driving on the wrong side of an uninterrupted centre barrier for 300m.

In my post, I said if there's a pileup, implying that in the case where you can't just use !move there is still a place to escape into without collision.

Ye that annoyed me too in quite a few chases. At least some small gaps would be appreciated.

Would be appreciated if nobody went to the wrongside on Hwy2 Sleep

I Like the speed limit the way it is

Agreed. People wont speed so much due to their +s turning into -s quicker. I suggested this in teamspeak and got the answer. "Do you want to deal with everyone that moans"

RE: Westhill, Highway 2 speed limit. - Chuck - 2012-03-28 11:08

I'd rather sleep on the couch instead Wink

Whoever told you that, makes a valid point.

It would be rather good idea to make real-life kind of speedlimit aswell, but then again would make more and more people change from TC to WKD or LTC because they want to drive fast and earn money at the same time, and would cause a lot of complaints from most of people.
