Hello,
After checking what had occurred from both perspectives, you will be refunded as there was no actual drifting, yes there was slip but that is normal from a car gripping while accelerating mid-turn.
As a side-note, the COP will receive a warning for issuing a fine incorrectly and will be reminded to be more careful.
