Ctrl + F (in most browsers) to search for a game
If you know another game, which hasn't been mentioned here yet, then feel free to post it.

It's not a simulator per se, and it's easy to make hideous cars in it, but NFS Underground 2 is great fun and runs on a toaster.

I'm addicted to just pottering around in the standard 106 GTI

If using a wheel set it to 180 degrees mode.

I'd love a city based game with LFS's physics though.

RE: Other driving simulators - Johan. - 2012-04-28 14:08

You can try rFactor 1 (and 2 if you've got to much money on hands). There are tons of mods for it of reallife cars (M3 GTR's, old classic cars (Opel GT, etc)) and there are alot of downloadable maps for it. Its just the graphics that hold me back to play it.

Driving with the G27 is one heck of a try. I downloaded/installed it out of nothing, with the M3 GTR (e92, V8), but when you drop the clutch to quickly, you end up spinning. Pretty realistic.

RE: Other driving simulators - Cola - 2012-04-28 14:10

Already have driven around in NFSU2 Tongue

But thanks anyway. I've also just installed the rFactor 2 Beta, but I'm just not gonna pay ~85 $ for a game. Yaarrrh :>

Anyway. I've also got City Car Driving, but it just needs more cars, better sounds, and more maps/cities and tasks to do Wink

Edit:
Just saw your post Johan. Thanks, I'ma try rFactor 1 then Smile

RE: Other driving simulators - Roba - 2012-04-28 14:13

Well if you didn't know, Euro Truck Simulator is very nice, tho for best graphics and already realistic trucks, wait for the ETS2 to be published. It has many EU countries to drive on, not all roads tho, but on the ETS I have, it has 2 cities on every country, and you need to unlock the countries with money.

I haven't played it alot recently, as I haven't had time for it, and patience is the key to find a good settings for wheel (I suggest to drive with wheel tho).

Thanks, but already beat that game twice Thumbup (In form of unlocking everything w/o cheats)

Well, there is iRacing, Project C.A.R.S, and a few others. Just look on youtube and i'm sure you'll find something good.

iRacing doesn't really look like my kind of thing, but Project CARS looks awesome, just a shame it isn't released yet- Thumbdown

RE: Other driving simulators - Roba - 2012-04-28 21:01

Ask me via steam or skype for the '60 minutes'.

Rfactor 2.. yes.. well.. uh.. its just like LFS.. It keeps getting released 'later'. Infact, they said in 2009 that they would release it at the end of the year. We are in 2012 now, and there's still no final game Tongue.

65€ lifetime.. yes.. well.. uh.. if they didn't use the same graphic engine and wouldn't kill a G27 with its very strong FFB, I'd say 'fine', but in this case.. thanks but no thanks.

RE: Other driving simulators - Kyllone - 2012-04-28 23:41

You really should try rF1 too. Its a great game and I dont think the graphics are too bad... Its simple to install tracks&mods in it too. Smile

RE: Other driving simulators - Johan. - 2012-04-29 12:17

Thats exactly what I recommended to Kyllone Wink

RE: Other driving simulators - Kyllone - 2012-10-15 20:17

Firstly sorry for the huge bump, but I dont wanna make a new thread.

So, I just wanna know some racing games now.

Needs to feel ok with a wheel and have a good singleplayer. Meaning not as dumb AI as LFS. I know, theres not much, but please, I really dont know much racing games so if someone has got ANY idea which would be a decent game, name it!

I know LFS obviously, rFactor, iRacing, F1 series, Grid, DIRT, Test Drive

Anything else or have I already played the best racing game that exists...?
