Heard about this before, yeah.
He looked otherwise healthy, just before his health rapidly deteriorated.

Bloody hell, as BP said, recently he didn't seem ill at all!
It's interesting to read more about the guy - the song he's now famous for was an American song, and the censors wouldn't let him sing it because of that, so he just replaced the lyrics with trolololo and sang it anyway!
