Getting delivered on tuesday.. couldn't tell you yet! Although I am excited, upgrading from a blackberry to this should be impressive.

Nothing a cover won't solve.

RE: Something New You've Got... - Malibu - 2012-10-12 23:59

Why would you buy an expensive good looking phone and turn it into shit looking trash by using a cover?

RE: Something New You've Got... - Brad - 2012-10-13 00:21

Because you can get a good looking case and make the phone look good for a long time? Replacing a case is £15ish, replacing the phone is £400.

RE: Something New You've Got... - Hexta - 2012-10-13 01:17

What brad said, I'd rather keep a £400 phone inside a '*Removed* looking trash cover' than have it scratch to bits after a month. At least when it comes to selling or upgrading in the future I will have a good condition phone. I like to look after my personal possessions.

I was under the impression "newer is better" so I thought during the 2 years I had used my Iphone 4 Samsung might have gotten the hang of doing a screen that wont get deep scratches during normal use. Ohh how wrong I was. My Iphone 4 sure has some scratches but none are deep and they dont effect the screenquality, this after 2 years of use without a screencover. My S3 on the other hand has 2 deep scratches after only 3 months. The day Apple launce an Iphone with a 4.5"+ screen then I will switch back, but it will probably never happen *sigh*

My iPhone5 has no scratches at all.. Not had a case for it or anything.

RE: Something New You've Got... - Roba - 2012-10-13 07:21

My Samsung only got scratches on the screen when there was a cover on it. I removed it and the screen has got nothing on it, even after dropping it few times, once on rubble.

I used to use a silicon cover for my Optimus 2X, but it just became nasty with time, so now I'm using it the way it's meant to be used. Never had a screenprotector on it, it has got several scrathes on the display, but tbh I don't care the slightest anymore. I know it can stand it, and in March 2013, it's 2 years old and hopefully still going strong. Biggrin

I've just put a screen protector on and bought a flip cover (first party accessory) and the cover looks like it should have come with the phone in the first place.

Yeah, i've just received the Samsung flip case - looks pretty nice actually. Shame I haven't got the phone yet though Sad

Coincidence that the courier successfully delivered a £20 case for the phone, but "lost" the package with the actual phone in? Cursing
