De-clutter the chat - MaxH - 2022-02-22 09:31

I've been driving on TC for a while now, and something I though of after not so long was that the in game chat is very active. For me I got a lot of "information overload" and it was difficult to se what's relevant and what's not. Specially when driving at the same time. Of course I could block messages but I wasn't quite certain how that would be seen by others, specially the admins. Now I got the feel of it and quite often I do block messages.

Now, I don't mean that people shouldn't chat in game (while I'm of the opinion that it should be game related, and some things could really be taken somewhere else... Politics, irl-cars comparisons and what not). What I want to point at, and suggest, is to get the options to not receive messages from insim that I have no use for. Like, that a taxi dropped off whoever where ever, freight missions got completed, a bus made their route, some chase took XX minutes and how the fine and RP got distributed. It can be of interest if I'm in the same business atm, else I just see it as spam. In an already overcrowded chat, I'd really see the use of have the option to filter things out.

u mean chatlines like
Greetings from SWEDEN & URANUS?

But on-topic: yes, filtering certain roleplaying messages sounds good

A filter option would be great for those who don't want to see every piece of information Insim can throw at them.

Why are you trying to censor yourself, habibi?

I think this would be a great addition to the preferences system.

I've added a poll to your thread

Thanks, I meant to do that, but I fumbled and fell on my sword.
