RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Kayla - 2011-10-22 14:25 You're watercooling your whole rig? Is it expensive? :-S RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - rttnpig] - 2011-10-22 14:27 (2011-10-22 14:25)Michi Wrote: You're watercooling your whole rig? Is it expensive? :-SThats not watercooling, well kind off. This is a cheap solution, costs me 100 euros both of the Antec Cooler Kuhler H2O 620 and will keep my SLI very cool. RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Kayla - 2011-10-22 14:35 looks good tho i'm curious about the results RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - rttnpig] - 2011-10-28 00:58 Great temps....... RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Zipppy - 2011-10-28 02:39 I got the same cooler for my CPU, love it. I'll be getting a new 6870 soon, my 9600GT is a bit old atm... Why didn't I think of this by the way? lol RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - rttnpig] - 2011-10-28 02:58 Ive been playing bf3 on my SLI settings... Incredible temps. Uploaded with ImageShack.us RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Stephen - 2011-10-28 04:55 D: Impressive. RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Kayla - 2011-10-28 05:42 Awesome RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Stephen - 2011-10-28 07:43 Make sure you cool the vrm's as well, they're just as vital as any other part of the card.If they overheat and fail, good luck with the rma is all I can say. The vram is as cool as always, check the temps I posted. They are the second gpu2 temps. RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Kayla - 2011-10-28 13:27 looks awesome :-O think of doing the same to my GTX 560 I'm getting in dec. RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - FR4NOx - 2011-10-29 04:32 Hmm if I really wanted to I could try that with my GT240, but even that stays at a temp slightly higher than your 480 when mine's at 700core (from 550), though a bit louder. Nice job! I meant the vrm's ie voltage regulators, if they fail they could give the card any voltage that would go through. May even be 12v who knows but considering a gpu runs on only 1 volt, its not a stretch to say it will be a light show. The memory is fine, its under the heatsink, so it has some cooling RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - FR4NOx - 2011-10-29 21:44 Hmm this actually makes me wonder about taking an old gtx 260, try this mod, and then see if I can make it as fast as a 550 Ti, though without DX11... That would actually be pretty cool. :3 RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - rttnpig] - 2011-10-30 22:30 Had one badly installed. Temps im getting on BF3= 49Âșc RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Knight - 2011-11-15 11:08 Ok im very interested... Did you just loop the cooler on with cable ties over and through the bracket screw holes? RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - rttnpig] - 2011-11-15 12:00 yup RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - vwboosted - 2011-11-26 22:22 wtf a radiator for a computer lol, is there a waterpump too? RE: Nvidia 480 SLI mod - Speed - 2011-11-26 23:48 maybe do some research on google , and without a water pump it wouldt even work lol |
