Westhill Retro layout suggestion - Marty_Deslions - 2022-12-03 19:47 So currently the map is Westhill Retro. Nice roads, but you don't really have many options to drive to. I mean the layout is in a sense a figure 8. This can make chases also abit dull. I'm suggesting to give players more open space to drive. The whole southern infield could be opened up (the big grass field with trees). Also, the area behind the mainspawn/pit could be opened up, including the parallel road next to the track. Also, not in the pictures, what if some bridge was added, just like before? RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - Felipe Jardim - 2022-12-03 20:18 Yes, i was thinking a similar idea as well, although i would also incorporate the two "exits" into it from bus station bridge to the HW2 bridge further ahead and the side road known as "Western Highway" linking both RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - Marty_Deslions - 2022-12-03 20:34 (2022-12-03 20:18)Felipe Jardim Wrote: Yes, i was thinking a similar idea as well, although i would also incorporate the two "exits" into it from bus station bridge to the HW2 bridge further ahead and the side road known as "Western Highway" linking both Nice idea, but the road signs on the outer road are for left hand traffic, while the retro layout is right hand traffic. This could create some confusion. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - Carl - 2022-12-04 00:58 Well.. the idea of retro is that is closely resembles the retro layout (before WE was updated a few years ago). But your idea is kinda cool too, but it wouldn't really be "retro" perhaps a layout config of its own. The big lot behind the pits should be open at the bare minimum to avoid all the "fine TC players" from messing in the main roads like they did last morning. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - fWANKy - 2022-12-04 16:29 no. its westhill retro and its supposed to be closed off like the old westhill layout. no need to ruin it with these ideas. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - Baboulinet4 - 2022-12-04 22:48 Keep the track closed, but at least ,open the gas station behind the pits, to make a meet / mess zone. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - Marty_Deslions - 2025-01-29 14:06 Le bump. What if only the area behind the pitboxes was opened up? so people can mess/stunt around in there. Since imo this current layout lacks variety. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - Ali - 2025-01-29 14:42 I would like want to drive everywhere on the map, pro suggestion. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - you_nos - 2025-01-29 14:48 then it will no longer be called retro. i suggest opening the area just a bit behind the pitlane. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - Marty_Deslions - 2025-01-29 15:58 Well I guess making it 100% retro isn't really an option nowadays. Like there are mods and also the layout has features for that, like busstops and locations for freight etc. Those probably were not there back in the day. I guess opening the area behind the pits would be a nice addition. They can keep the large green area in the south closed. EDIT: I just remembered how the current blackwood retro layout has the newer industrial area opened. I think its called "the forbidden city", and you dont get any income there iirc. Its sorta semi closed off but its still allowed to go there. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - rak - 2025-01-30 14:47 Why not just use the whole map and remove the retro version from the track rotations? Just because some people feel nostalgic about it, doesn't mean everyone enjoys it. RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - yetkinbaba - Yesterday 13:03 opening the gas station behind the pits is a great idea tbh RE: Westhill Retro layout suggestion - ThePonczeK - Yesterday 14:13 (2025-01-30 14:47)rak Wrote: Why not just use the whole map and remove the retro version from the track rotations? I agree, the retro idea is not good and only fz5 people like it, scawen blessed us giving us a bigger map with civilian roads, like this was a wet dream for tc players, its a perfectly fitting map for a roleplay server with police pursuits, bus, taxi, delivery drivers and cruisers |
