Join To Chase status - Sadie - 2012-07-04 11:55

Hi, i have be in 2 chase, there i was on overpass and suspect on underpass.

So i come from Join status to chase, and so when suspect drive to AB and i drive to AB suspect drive from me and i lost chase.

Happen if i drive on other side when suspect drive to arena and i to sz2 to make u-turn i lost chase.

So can that be fixed?

RE: Join to chase - BP - 2012-07-04 11:58

This is probably impossible to fix, but I'm no coder.

Or, saying that, maybe if the suspect is heading south (the insim can tell, because of !direction) and you're heading north, it could be made so you won't get in "chase" mode, but I don't know.

Or it can see i are on Overpass and suspect are not on this road?

RE: Join to chase - KaraK - 2012-07-04 12:47

Has been a problem ever since the new distance system was introduced. It calculates the relative distance, in a straight line to your suspect, rather than the distance over the road.

Have had this problem myself a few times as well. Caused me to lose my chase.

Isn't it on !locate where it says the distance to located user by the road distance rather than straight line?

I thought this was fixed earlier :/

RE: Join to chase - KaraK - 2012-07-04 15:16

You get two different distances with !locate. One on the LEAS, and one as a button on your screen.
One of them is the actual distances, and the other is the distance as a straight line.

If that makes sense, lol.
