- unban request (Unban Request Denied by Ras) - salman - 2024-01-11 19:04 Users Involved Your LFS Username: salmann Incident Information Date of Incident: 11.01.2024 Time of Incident: around 18.30 utc Description of Incident : I assume you watched the replay. Sulbart and I enter there at a high rate of speed and even though I try to brake, I come very close to giving chase. As you can see, the road was quite narrow and if I had waited there, chaos might have occurred. I still had some absolute speed and I took advantage of the gap I saw in me and immediately pulled away from the chase. I think Sulbartta saw a gap, he moved towards the right side, but then he retreated pointlessly. If he had tried to continue on the side of the truck close to the wall, he would have been able to escape, but his car and truck would have suffered some damage. Also, having the truck waiting there is a huge mistake. There was no one behind him, he should have retreated. If he had done this, we could have continued our chase. Also, I was banned for 'Interfering with another chase and gaining unfair advantage in own chase'. I did not intervene in the chase at all, I did not cause any change in the position of the car by rubbing or hitting anyone, I just took advantage of the gap I saw and prevented creating chaos. As for gaining an unfair advantage, this was not something I had in my power. Sulbart had a chance to get out of there, but he did not use it. I don't think myself and the sulbart are guilty here. However, since the truck there is already a truck, it is quite wide and almost blocks the road, it should have been away from the chase there. I think the only punishment here should be applied to the player driving the truck. I request my ban to be removed Evidence Replay / Screenshot Link(s): https://www.mediafire.com/file/gkrnqolhhtujyws/BL1X_0R_3.mpr/file it was around 1.37.00.00 Status: Investigation Process. Please be patient during this review, I will reply in due course. I appreciate your detailed description and i will review this incident again, possibly with help from other admins. Beware it may not happen until friday at the earliest. I'm still pretty certain rules were broken on your part, but i won't rule out a reduction in the ban length may be possible. I'll reply again soon. Rule you were mainly banned for - this also applies even if you're in chase yourself: 1.5. Stay away from chases. Let suspects and cops pass and give them room for manoeuvring. Do not follow or overtake chases. If a chase gets closer, stay passive, slow down and wait until the situation is over. Do not help the suspect or the police. The biggest issue was the fact that you broke this rule, while your cop followed the rule by staying back from the other chase, and as a result you unfairly escaped from him. The other chase was on that piece of road before your chase, and as such you should have stayed back, not them. RE: unban request - salman - 2024-01-11 19:40 As seen on MPR, when I got there my purpose was to stay behind so I was braking but I couldn't stop. I made this move because I thought that if I had stopped there it could have caused a worse situation. Which was quite obvious because they were in a state of chaos even among themselves. I also thought that if 2 more vehicles were added there it would be much worse. You and I had previously talked about a different thread regarding the chases, I would like you to come to a conclusion considering my sensitivity there. I will review it further tomorrow. My comment right now is just that you should probably have tried to turn around, instead of going through the chaos. But as said, i will look at it again tomorrow. RE: unban request - salman - 2024-01-12 10:08 We talked with Sulbart and came to the conclusion that this was due to a misunderstanding and that there was no problem. Since he is not a forum member, he asked me to write. He said that if you asked him in the game, he would confirm it. I would appreciate it if you would take this into consideration. RE: unban request - Ras - 2024-01-12 12:32 Thanks for letting me know. I will consider it and reply back later today. RE: unban request - Ras - 2024-01-12 17:39 Hello again, Salman I have re-watched the situation on the replay and I find your ban to be of appropriate length, especially taking your URS (server record) into consideration. You were NOT allowed to pass through the middle of another chase. (1.5. Stay away from chases.) This is a clear rule breach, what you did. Unfortunately, Sulbart accepting what happened will not affect this conclusion. Even if it could have been tolerated passing a chase there, you were doing it way too fast and dangerously. You almost caused a major collision with the other suspect, who were completely out of control and all over the road. Again, you need to attempt a u-turn in this kind of situation or accept your fate and stop your car, before you interfere with another chase. You don't need to escape in a chase at all costs. Sometimes you need to call it there and move on. After all, you chose to take the risk when you first failed to stop. Unexpected things can happen during a chase. Also, don't forget you have been punished before for the exact same thing (ignoring chases whilst being chased yourself). The length of this ban is fairly moderate, all things considered. Your unban request will not be approved at this time. Should you wish to proceed with a Unban Appeal, where [TC] CityDriving Management will review the case (without me) and make a decision, make sure to carefully read the terms of unban appeals first. ~ Ras |
