Took a turn for the worse!!! - robo1990 - 2024-12-11 20:12

Hi everyone not something id ever see myself saying here but the game has gone to the dogs. its a real shame as we used to have a good community and a good atmosphere and rules was adhered to...... but not anymore. Over the recent months i have hard more upset then pleasure in this game and its due to lack of respect, rules etc. we was primarily a cops and robber server and that never changes as long as i saw but it just seems to be a place were people can break the rules with no punishment. the server just seems lazy and not enjoyable am i alone or should you just call it a day and just call it tc city driving forget cops and all that stuff as there is not a real lightbar system or rule service to follow and the lack of respect for any siren is plain to see what do you all think!!!!

If you find a video game to be more upsetting than entertaining, then IMO it's generally best to call it a day and move onto something that gives you more personal satisfaction.

I wish you well and hope you find what you're looking for, whether that's activities away from the computer or a different video game which better suits your needs.

If you do decide to stay, remember there is a sub-forum for User Reporting and a sub-forum for suggestions. On a related note, you have posted this in the LFS Area but it should've been in General Discussions (see the descriptions for further information).

Not [TC] it's LFS as a whole.

i understand but im sure we have the people to enforce rules etc. As for me finding the game upsetting isnt this why we have the ifrastructure there in the first place so its how the game is supposed to be played. again i feel the issue is being pushed under the carpet. i know not all problems can be fixed but NOTHING is being done as its clearly getting worse. and yes adorable there is problems on all lfs but tc has hit a rapid decline.

I do not understand your "issue being pushed under the carpet" and "nothing is being done" comments. I feel that we are doing a good job at keeping the servers as clean as possible, using the personal time we have available. Of course, it is not reasonable to expect admins to be online as often as some players are, as we each have personal responsibilities outside of the game and community.

I have already mentioned in my previous post that there is a sub-forum to report other users. Why have you never used that section?

I would suggest looking at the following URL for more information. https://world.city-driving.co.uk/?page=manual&man=dealing_with_rulebreakers

I am unsure if you expect admins to take action against offenses without evidence, but I must clarify that we do not operate this way. Sometimes you need to put in some effort yourself to deal with rulebreakers (refer to above link).

I don't think we should only think about punishing the player who doesn't obey the rules, we should identify where and how he violates the rule and report it to the TC accordingly. I have noticed this week that people don't obey the sirens and most of them do it on the long road. I think the fact that that road is completely open is too much for some people and I think there should be a study on the long road. Normally I am against any work to slow people down, but I think this track requires it.

I felt it would be reasonable to note in this post something that I've been witnessing the last few days on the server. In my view, not true that the "issue being pushed under the carpet" or "nothing is being done". I believe it's more the players who are too inert to report rule-breakers than anything else - I couldn't find another word that would better fit these terms.

Not even fifteen days ago, I came across a very peculiar situation. A player was completely ignoring the existence of sirens and overtaking chases all the time.

Then, a player in the cop's chat started talking about it with us. I recommended he submit a forum report on this rule-breaker. Frighteningly, I received a message that expressed something like: "It's not worth my time to report him."

What I mean by this is that if no one bothers to report rule-breakers, how can they be punished? Are we going to depend solely on the in-game reporting system? Look, I'm not condemning this system, but it's a fact that by reporting it in-game, rule-breakers will be able to continue messing around for some time before being punished.
