w/l ratio stat - Tommer - 2012-08-31 14:37 Currently in the cop stats we've two forms of ranking, one is your 'Cop XP rating' and the other is a 'Best cop' which is actually the difference between your wins and loses. Arguably I think the 'best cop' stat is dependent more on how active you are (because you can get a really large difference just by having many chases even if you lose lots of them) than how successful you are. I think it would be interesting to see a ranking system based on win to lose ratio. I know that some will argue that this puts cop's in slower cars at a disadvantage but I would like to disagree and state it's the cop's choice to chase cars he can't keep up with or not. I know it's just stats and I don't take it seriously, but I would still like to see how the charts would look under this stat I'm thinking it should only count those who have had 100+ chases just to make sure no 'flukes' appear. RE: w/l ratio stat - Kyllone - 2012-08-31 14:38 Would be cool Yes. RE: w/l ratio stat - Pete - 2012-08-31 15:16 Instead of being titled "Best Cops", it should probably be titled "Most successful cops" because it's very difficult to say who the "Best cops" actually are. A win loss ratio has been suggested before but that would only work with a minimum number of chases. RE: w/l ratio stat - James - 2012-08-31 16:45 Im sure that would encourage [COP]s who want a higher W/L to chase more ? Further increasing their experience and car control ? The current "best cops" list already has a minimum number of wins & losses (albeit only 1 of each atm) to be included. RE: w/l ratio stat - Pete - 2012-08-31 20:51 I'm aware of that, I was simply rewording the original suggestion. RE: w/l ratio stat - Sinoco - 2012-09-01 02:42 I actually think it would work... it's like a Kill Death ratio in first person shooters, it still works out to your ability no matter if you have 10 kills or 10,000 kills. I think the theory is the same. RE: w/l ratio stat - Elmo - 2012-09-02 02:29 >test< There's currently a minimum of 5 wins AND 5 losses to be counted in the list. RE: w/l ratio stat - Sinoco - 2012-09-02 02:37 Wait... so Savy is the best cop?!?!? This is an unexpected turn of events. Very nice work. RE: w/l ratio stat - Elmo - 2012-09-05 16:54 Added an Average XP field to the test above. Note that it generally won't be accurate, as the won/lost stats started being recorded before the XP system was implemented, which will make the average lower than it should be for players that were in a lot of chases before the XP system. I assume that's average XP per chase... so people who engage in chases with faster cars? Nice work. RE: w/l ratio stat - Elmo - 2012-09-05 21:27 Yup. In theory, combined with the win ratio, it would give an indication of the relative class of the cars they're chasing - kind of an honour indicator if you will - although it can't take into account the amount and type of backup, so it's a very limited indication. RE: w/l ratio stat - Pete - 2012-09-05 23:29 Nice, better already. RE: w/l ratio stat - Elmo - 2012-10-30 02:51 Added new Ratio and Average XP stats to the website & forum stats pages RE: w/l ratio stat - Tommer - 2012-10-30 16:20 Nice one, thanks for that Elmo RE: w/l ratio stat - Shino - 2012-11-02 19:16 I'm clearly the best cop. |
