- Geko™[COP] (dominik7557) wrong fine (Archived by BoyPower) - langpascal - 2013-02-10 14:40

Hi,

I got fined ~3XX € by dominik7557 after I escaped from chase. It said I escaped, I gained XP and nowhere on my screen it said that I'm still in chase. So I slowed down but then this guy came back and just fined me. Confused1 Why?

I want my money back. Mellow

I can add replay but it doesn't show Insim-related messages. Thumbdown

This report is being looked into. Please be patient.

You should use the format next time, it's located here: http://forum.city-driving.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=1

I think this sums it up nicely:

Code:
2013-02-10 14:09:48 UTC Jamaica *HOST* [LGR]Pascal has been fined 390 € by Geko™[COP]
2013-02-10 14:09:46 UTC Jamaica *HOST* [LGR]Pascal has been busted by Geko™[COP]
2013-02-10 14:09:00 UTC Jamaica *HOST* [LGR]Pascal received 13XP
2013-02-10 14:09:00 UTC Jamaica *HOST* [COP]Otava lost 3XP
2013-02-10 14:09:00 UTC Jamaica *HOST* [COP]Otava lost contact with suspect.
2013-02-10 14:07:41 UTC Jamaica *HOST* [COP]Otava joined on [LGR]Pascal
2013-02-10 14:07:31 UTC Jamaica *HOST* [LGR]Pascal failed to stop
2013-02-10 14:06:44 UTC Jamaica *HOST* Geko™[COP] chasing: [LGR]Pascal

You may have evaded one cop, but you were still being chased. On your screen, the InSim would have told you that.

But it didn't. You know, I would not have slowed down if I would have been still in chase.
Maybe we can find a solution.

Sorry for the format thing.

Sorry for the format thing.

When you evaded the cop, there was probably a green "13 XP" on your screen, but on the top right of the screen, it still would have shown you were being chased.

I know where it normally stands. But it didn't show there, I swear. If this damn Insim could only be shown in LFS replay...

Maybe we can find a solution?

I will talk to Chuck (InSim developer) and see if this potential bug is actually a bug.

However, the chatlogs show you never did escape the chase so the fine by Geko is legit, so either way, no action will be taken.

Too bad. :-( Have a nice day anyways. Wink

Geko won't have any admin punishment.
