Skype Phone - Ash - 2013-04-15 17:50

Hey guys

Looking to get a Skype Phone. Just wondering how these work and can it also be used as a mic in TS?

Cheers

Ash

Yeah, if it's Android you can use your phone in Skype Calls (possibly video calls?) and there's a TeamSpeak application either in the Android store or on their website.

Though, Ash said he wants Skype Phone, not a smartphone Wink Know the difference.

We used to have Skype Phones, actually, we still do have them, just not in use. You somehow need to link the phones with your skype account, I don't know if you have to pay something to call with them etc though.

Totally forgot those things existed, haven't heard of those in years.

It probably charges the standard Skype calling rates.

We have one of these. It's basically like any cordless phone you use for landline calls, but it's also connected to your router via a base station. You just sign in to Skype with the phone once and it's good to go. When you place a call, you type in the number (Duh) and when you press call, it asks if you want it to be a Skype- or standard call.
Ours can't receive or send messages, but it's a fairly old model. Could be the new ones can.
