Calling backup - Dale - 2013-11-19 19:21 ok, so i got a chase off a cop and the second i failed to stop the cop called backup and i had 4 cops on me, litrally 2 seconds after i failed to stop..... and to be honest i think its abit unfair that cops can call and get a 4 cop chase straight away.... i think their should be a time limit before you can call each one, because it isnt fair for the suspect to have 4 cops litrally 45.000000000000001 seconds after the cop did "!chase"..... RE: Calling backup - Roba - 2013-11-19 19:54 Tbh there's nothing unfair on it. Chases are for fun, if there's people willing to join your chase, and the cop who started it is willing to share the fun, he can let them. Sometimes with a limited number of cops online, and fast suspect, you can use a little strategy and not call everyone in at once RE: Calling backup - Dan - 2013-11-19 20:04 For the record, it was a total of three cops in the chase. Absolutely nothing wrong with it if I'm honest. As Roba said, the chases are for fun. Whilst we're a server that trys to be as realistic as we can in terms of Cops 'n' Robbers, LFS is a game at the end of the day so there's no need to take it that seriously. There were only 3 cops btw and I called immediate backup because they lasered you so it will only be fair if they joined. Like always, if you feel a cop chase is unfair, don't fail to stop then. It's only realistic as real life cops can call backup right after they initiate the chase. RE: Calling backup - Dale - 2013-11-19 20:08 yeah i know its fun, but its nice to atleast and try and stop the suspect yourself first for atleast a minute.... if someone calls for backup and gets 3-4 cops in chase as soon as its failed to stop it tells me that they are lazy and incompetent tbh... Doesn't count as lazy or imcompetent. It counts as teamwork between cops. Like I said before, if you don't like it don't fail to stop. And you also stated: Quote: Whats the difference between 15secs. You call for 3 backup at 45secs shouldn't be allowed but if you call 15secs later it is alright? RE: Calling backup - Dan - 2013-11-19 20:39 Providing the cops intending to join aren't following (as per the rules, they shouldn't be) then it will take them around or in excess of 15 seconds to reach the chase. RE: Calling backup - Kyllone - 2013-11-21 14:25 1 minute doesn't make any difference. And when only 1 cop starts chasing you, you are given the opportynity either stop or take a risk that you might have 4 cops on you instead of 1 by running away. I think if you make the choise to escape rather than pay a fine for example, you are saying that you are ready to evade 4 Cops aswell. No point in a limit to this. When you fail to stop, you fail to stop. Either way you are being given a choise every single time. RE: Calling backup - Lcee - 2013-11-26 13:34 If there are 4 or more cops online, you can count on backup. Cops want to win as badly as you want. If you don't like a challenge, just pull over before the chase starts. RE: Calling backup - Salss - 2013-11-26 15:07 Well for example I immediately call of backup if my poor XRT gets put up against a FZ5 or a LX6 which I can't keep up with and since I'm a nub. RE: Calling backup - Lukeā¢ - 2013-11-26 16:58 For most cops, I find that the more the merrier - it's alot more fun working as a team and helping other cops win a chase than going solo. Also, it's very hard to bust a suspect by yourself unless their car is completely broken or they've flipped, so that's another reason why a cop may want to call for backup, so they can get assistance in busting the suspect. Also, in response to Minniyer's last post, it's very hard to bust a suspect by yourself in a couple of minutes, even if it's an xfg or whatever, you have to either flip them or damage their car enough so it's inoperable. RE: Calling backup - Sinoco - 2013-11-26 17:37 So if you ran from the police in real life and you ended up with 10 cops on you, let's say, are you going to call the first cop lazy and incompetent for not catching you on his own? What an ass calling for backup... |
