- Report: Edwin[COP] & Cameron[COP] (Archived by BoyPower) - Dino - 2013-12-21 10:39 Hi, I would like to show you a replay, as I do not think the Cops were stopping me fair. Your LFS Username: hsvdin0 ● Their LFS Username(s): fwj515 & edwintsang ● Their LFS GameName(s): n\J.Cameron[COP] & [TT]Edwin[COP] ● Replay and/or Screenshot Link: http://www.myupload.dk/showfile/1Qo1K_EVd.mpr ● Replay Timestamps: ● Description of incident (inc Date & Time) 26:25.00 - Cameron stops me for dangerous overtaking - I am not quite sure if this is really considered as dangerous overtaking, as the slow guy in the highway was driving in the middle and the way I overtook him was definitely safer than braking on the highway, especially as I didn't know if there were cars behind me. (26:40.00 -> Michal had a huge lag and therefore the accident happened - just saying) 29:00.00 As soon as Edwin appeared I tried to drive away, but immediately afterwards both Cops rammed or at least pushed me into the barrier which made me lie on my side and the chase was over. Cops leaving me in the middle of the road without any caution! So, I would like to know if 1) It was really dangerous overtaking and 2) If this way to stop suspects is allowed? Thanks. RE: Report: Edwin[COP] & Cameron[COP] - Jake - 2013-12-21 12:26 The way we stopped you was how every cop stops someone by pitting you, what made it worse was we both went in at the same time which was a lack of communication. I don't see anything else wrong in this replay? Jake. RE: Report: Edwin[COP] & Cameron[COP] - Edwin - 2013-12-21 12:38 First of all, the dangerous overtake Jake stopped you for wouldn't matter as you caused a separate offence by failing to stop. After I appeared, you were going really slowly therefore Jake and I tried to box you whilst you were still on the road hence why I tried to stay in front of you by weaving and Jake was behind you. Also the thing you claim to be a ram wasn't a ram, Jake and I both went for the PIT and I managed to get the PIT on you but you steered away last minute so the PIT didn't have enough momentum so it didn't spin you around but made you slide a little bit into the barrier. As you can see here it wasn't a ram: Spoiler (Click to View) And for future references, it's Jake not Cameron. Yes, you were fined for Dangerous Driving: Code: 2013-12-20 22:05:42 UTC Jamaica *HOST* Offence: Dangerous driving (125 €) However, I feel your overtake was justifiably dangerous. You can't really excuse it because you could have checked your mirrors or the map - braking would have been safe. I feel it would have been safer to brake than overtake like you did - it was dangerous thus the fine was justified. You actively endangered somebody. Also, as mentioned above, once you fail to stop, the original fine is irrelevant. Code: 2013-12-20 22:06:23 UTC Jamaica *HOST* HSV|Dino failed to stop Dino Wrote:(26:40.00 -> Michal had a huge lag and therefore the accident happened - just saying) You're absolutely correct. Nothing to worry about. Dino Wrote:29:00.00 As soon as Edwin appeared I tried to drive away, but immediately afterwards both Cops rammed or at least pushed me into the barrier which made me lie on my side and the chase was over. Regarding the manoeuvre that was executed, there is no doubt there was a communication failure. However, it was legitimate enough and therefore not actionable. It was mostly a standard PIT maneuverer. The fact they left you there after the bust is also not actionable, but arguably slightly irresponsible. So, to sum up: Dino Wrote:So, I would like to know if 1) Yes 2) Yes Edwin Wrote:And for future references, it's Jake not Cameron. To be fair, his name was Cameron at the time so calling him Jake would have actually been confusing. Thanks for your report, but nothing here warrants any administrative action. No action has been taken for reasons described. Thank you for your report. It has now been moved to the archives. |
