RE: Close call
That was just scary.
Stopping in the middle of the road in these conditions? Even if i had an accident i would try to get my car off the road asap. |

RE: Close call
The EVO and the truck driver was good driver. Others was lucky, becouse they didn't rear ended them after they stopped in the middle of the road... Idiots.

RE: Close call
Like in the vid. for the ppl that didnt read it.
Don't brake on the ice or in the snow! And don't stop without a reason.. And the aftermath is less worse than i suspected.. Okayy.. it's maybe an evo, but even that can get damaged. |

RE: Close call
No good driving there, just driving too fast for the conditions..

RE: Close call
Why was he even overtaking and going that fast in such conditions? Looks like the fault lies between both parties. (The stopped vehicles and the fact he was stupidly overtaking..)

RE: Close call
Saw this on Cliosport. Evo driver is going way too fast for the conditions, he did well to avoid complete carnage, but if he'd been driving sensibly then he wouldn't have had any damage whatsoever.
And it's not black ice if it's white ffs. |

RE: Close call
Atleas in finland you must be able to stop vehicle in distance you see road. So bought drivers were going way too fast considering road condition. Offcourse its not wise at all to stop in middle off the road at those kind of conditions.
I have driven many times in lot worse conditions and it aint that hard, just need to adjust your speed to conditions. By looking that vid road dont even look that slippery, just icy snow. Think what happens when theres black ice and snowing like h*ll, its about 50 times more slippery than normal snow.. |

RE: Close call
The stopped vehicles were obviously crashed, so you cant really blame them. It's not even that the driver should have been going slower, because if there was good visibility his speed would have been fine. As Tommi said, you should drive at a speed at which you could stop for any obstruction in your vision.
Although, thinking about it... maybe the occupants of the stationary cars could have walked up the road a little to warn drivers of the obstruction? What did they think was going to happen? |

RE: Close call
Brad, you fool. Only the few rear ones are crashed, the rest are pretty much parked. And of course he should of being going slower, because there wasn't good visibility.. He may still not of come to a stop, but he would've been able to navigate through there a bit cleaner at a lower speed.

Why was he going so fast in the first place? Thats just damn stupid tbh. Use your common sense and take it easy!

RE: Close call
In some states, it's illegal to move your car from the scene of an accident. I'm guessing thats the reason why it seems the way it is.

RE: Close call
I love how smart everyone is when commenting a scenario like this. Only thing I find strange, is that noone turned around, drove back a couple of hundred meters and tried to warn traffic.

RE: Close call
In finland, beemers drive like the evo, and they are very often seen on the side o the road, sometimes sitting on the railing.
Last year we saw this maniac on old beemer who floored it to overtake some micra, the beemer driver was lucky not to crash anyone as he lost control immediatley as he flooerd it |
