All it takes is to start the program, and put the lfs gearbox mode to "sequential" if you play on wheel, or just turn off the automatic gearbox if u use mouse or keyboard.
Clutch Key: C
Shift up and down: S, X
Then hit the "Gearbox Mode: Off" Button when driving.
It will change to "Gearbox Mode: Comfort". Another click will put it into sport mode.

The new patch (V7.2) is out now. Some convenience improvements and so on.
PDC got better, warnings got better, visuals look better, but most important, you dont have to wait to start the program until your on track anymore. You can just start it at the same time as lfs

Hmmm looking really interesting! Awesome work dude!

Just for curiosity, how line detection works? It really detect the lines or just detect the road, and it's supossed to be 50% of the road your way?

Nice work!
The steering jerks the wrong way with wheel when trying to keep lane. I dont have it inverted, but if I set it to invert it jerks the right way. Also the steering isnt that smooth and can cause the car to drift.
When the auto stopping for going over to the other lane kicks in it auto brakes a little but if i want to brake harder it does not overwrite and do that. Also the system to detect an overwrite like applying throttle is pretty slow to react.
Otherwise really cool new features! Im looking forward to the lane keeping!

Hey, the lane detection uses coordinates to figure out where lane markings are. It then detects the current track and uses the correct set of coordinates.
So it doesn't detect roads, but really the lane markings .

Thank you for your detailed feedback. I know that is not perfect yet, and that its still a long way to go, but i will look into your points for the next updates. And yeah, you have to set the axes to inverted.
Will get smoother and better, just like the collision warning did !

Little new bugfix update out!
Mainly the crash with the error: "global variable p is not defined" is fixed now.

Some more little improvements and bugfixes.

Well yeah, that is true. What wheel do you use? Because I've just looked again and the wheel axis is the only one that doesn't have to be set to invert.
I guess ill add a setting in the set.txt file to invert steering inputs with the next update.
