Skins

If I make my own skins can I just release then into the servers for other players to use? Also, I just added some text to the side of a RES skin I already download off of the TC website; can I use this on the servers? I ask this as I have not yet used it on the servers because I'm not aware of any rules saying I can't use any modified skins. I just wanted to make sure before I did any of the above so I didn't get band or fined etc.

Sure. If they're emergency vehicle skins, you're best to get them approved in the skin approval thread, so you don't release a skin that's not deemed appropriate.

I'm not entirely sure what the TC team have included in regards to copyrights and being able to edit their skins (as I don't use them), but I highly doubt they'd allow you to edit them (without permission). If you have got permission, then fair enough to you. Again, I would seek further permission if they're happy for you to release the edits.

Edit: Just downloaded the pack and the readme included writes "Do NOT edit any skins without prior permission from the original skinner." So yes, what I said applies.

If the skin in question was made by me ("by pipa" on the skin), then you are free to edit it. Keep in mind that it will still have to abide skin regulations. You may disregard the "no edit" plea on the skin. Check the top disclaimer on the link below:

There are other skins also done by me specifically for the TC team which were not signed with my name. Since i made those skins for the TC Team and their players it would be nice if you could abide that no editing plea.
