Police Idea

Earlier on the server I was cruising along, and in front of me was a guy who'd damaged his car, and was veering all over the place. And this got me thinking.

Should police be able to pull someone over due to them having a damaged car? This would mean that if a cop sees a severely damaged car, they can pull them over and either notify them that their car isn't fit for road use, or simply escort them to the pits. If this is ignored then a fine could be handed out and the driver forced to pit.

--- ROAD LAWS ---

Road laws are the major gameplay element. Breaking the road laws will get you chased by cops.

- Obey the speed limit (Speed limits are displayed in game, at the top right of your screen)
- Drive safe
- Don't endanger other cars
- No drifting
- No spinning/donutting
- Stop at junctions and use your indicators/turn signal
- No drag-racing
- Drive a safe car. Includes damage/setup.
- Follow police orders. i.e. Stop your car, give way, clear the road, etc.
- In Kyoto server, on the Autobahn motorway, there is a MINIMUM speed limit of 50mph | 80kph, and a total NO STOPPING ZONE while you're on the autobahn.

Ah, OK, thanks. I looked at this in the police rules but it wasn't there... Just a quick question, what is the '!follow' command used for? I've never seen it used on the server.

If they can drive properly with their car then there is no need really to pull them over, if they however weave all over the road there are plenty of fines you can give them:

-failure to keep right
-careless driving
-dangerous driving

The !follow command allows a cop to put up a message on screen to a driver behind saying:

Follow message is used on the autobahn for instance where you can't stop.

I use the follow command when pulling people over on the autobahn, but 1 in 10 people actually stop behind me in a save place. Quite frustrating.
