HDD making a racket
Hey guys,
My HDD (idk which one as cba to take it out) has been making an awful 'racket' noise recently; does anyone know why this could be the case? It is quite old so is it a possible sign of failure? |

RE: HDD making a racket
It's a sign of failure.
You can hear someting like 'tac tac tac' and it's the head that isnt moving properly, and maybe you can expect some freeze seconds on your computer I imagine. |

RE: HDD making a racket
HDD sounds clicky, knocky or tappy? Easy. It's dead. Backup all important files ASAP. Get a new HDD/ssd soon.
