I see the advantage for many people, still its annoying to drive up the trip until it counts further.
My idea would be to remove it and just add the option to get back to spawn for a fine, not to low of course. May be 500, could be even a bit more. In case someone crashes you out of bounds all could be fixed in some seconds if the crasher would just send that amount. If you got out of bounds by your own fault you can decide to pay to keep the trip. Just my cents, P V L. |

I never liked the idea from the start, maybe because I don't drive bycicles or maybe because every time I lost my trip is wasn't really that big of a deal. Anyway the main reason I didn't like the idea is because it takes away from the MED/RES/TOW roles. If there would be a way to make medium distance rescues using a crane of some sort that would be the best option imo. |

Random (unfinished) thought : How about a remote flip option? Imagine a car equipped with a winch can reach any place on map, but it takes time. Like 1sec / metre of distance. So you place your car as close as possible and start a remote recovery.
It is only realistic that recovery workers leave their cars to recover vehicles that are far off any road. To flip or tow them. I'm not yet sure how if a recovery function (moving the victim towards the tow vehicle) could be done. I could solve that technically, but I also want want to render the existing tools like ramp / bridge useless. |
