![]() ![]() Currently, when an admin decides to go HwA and start some roadworks for the sake of variation/RP/fun, when other players want to join in as roadworkers, they are not allowed to use a lightbar vehicle. They can, but then they would also need to use a [TOW] tag and have a proper tow skin to comply with the TC rules. But this doesn't make any logical sense if that person is playing as a roadworker. Also, getting a tow call while you're RPing as roadworker is not really desirable. I have a few solutions for this. 1. Case-by-case approval If players want to join as roadworker, they need permission from this HwA admin to use a vehicle with lightbar/strobes. For the sake of RP, the HwA admin could then also ask the player to use a fitting vehicle/skin/color, in order to fit the role as roadworker. The admin could also require the person to use a fitting name and name color. If the roadworks are over, that means the permission for the player to use the lightbar/strobes is also over. 2. Implenting a new tag/role What if there was a new role to fit this function as roadworker? This could come with a fitting nametag like [HwW] (highway worker), or [RW] (roadworker), or something like that. Players could get licensed for this role, either by buying a license, or by applying for a license on the forum, so not every one can simply buy a license. An additional rule could be that the player with that license is NOT allowed to go do roadworks alone, but only if an HwA admin starts this and allows them to join in. Another perk of this is that the player with this role can have a working !caution command. 3. Only join as civilian, without the lightbar/strobe With this option, players can just join the roadworks without any permission nor additional rules/roles. The player cannot use a lightbar and also no strobes, but is allowed to use the hazard lights. This is basicly already implented in the current system. This option is my least favorite, obviously. ![]() |
