Failing to stop
I had a small idea about the failing to stop.
The system works like you chase a suspect, and if he fails to pull over within 45 seconds, the chase mode will be enabled. I've had annoying troubles with this, when people stop, I fine them, then they drive away as fats as they can braking way more road laws I was fining him for, and then stops at 43 seconds and pays the fine. Other thing is that the suspect moves 1meter, stops, I have to move back to him, then he does it again multiple times. My suggestion for this would be that if a car has been stopped, if he drives away XXX meters after a fine has been given the chase mode will be enabled immediately. And if the suspect moves and stops too many times the chase would be enabled. Maybe some kind of adjustments could be made for if someone crashes the suspect sending him away, wouldn't trigger it. Hope you understood anything Also feel free to post other suggestions you think could work! |

RE: Failing to stop
I like it. Haven't had too many problems with this, but haven't either been copping too much atm.
But yeah, it's surely annoying when someone does that. So +1. |

RE: Failing to stop
Well, suspect can technically fail to stop, before the InSim announces it. If he keeps stopping and starting or literally mocking the cop, he clearly failed to stop, when he was asked to.
What you could do, is ask the suspect to pay the fine for failure to stop manually, which means typing "!pay 300". They might resist a lot, but you would do nothing wrong. This does not mean however, fining the suspect for failure to stop everytime, when he stopps a few seconds later, but we are talking about the very obvious cases here, when suspects stops literally the last second and keeps running or doing U-turns before that, after they have already received a clear warning to stop. |

RE: Failing to stop
I was going to suggest the cop having the ability to override the 45 second "stop" timer.
Then I realised that it would be open to abuse. Just posting. |

Yes, but I could see this leading to argument "Yes you did" "No I didn't" for pretty much 90% of the cases, and would be quite rare for them to eventually pay it, unless there was a rule about it. |

RE: Failing to stop
Last time I checked, stopping in-front of a problematic suspect isn't wrong as they can still run if they choose to.
I actually do +1 this though. |

Suspect is obliged to pay the fine, even if he does not agree with it. He can ask for a refund on the forum after of course, but if he fails to pay the fine, he will get in trouble himself. |

RE: Failing to stop
Alright, I see.
I'm still on for this idea, would make it whole lot easier. I couldn't bother continuously to report and argue with people about it... |

RE: Failing to stop
There could be a problem with the "When stopped, if they move, chase will start" bit; What if they are crashed? Or the cop behind hits them, trying to stop?
