Working interiors with patch S2 6G
As you know quite a few of us have white texture problems with the current lfs build, due to them changing texture sizes.
Does anyone have any working textures on the current build working for the:
Or Does anyone know how to resize .dds files because its not as simple as it sounds. Many thanks, Bez |

Hey Bez,
Well what i use is the DDS Converter, it is kinda handy it converts dds files into JPG and some other formats. When you did that you can simply Right click on it and press on edit image, then you pick the size you need. Hope this helped mate. E - If you want i can also share my dds files just for you. |

Back the time when I was playing with textures I made some custom setup to handle dds files.
I once converted all of them to png and used these as master files. I've created a batch script that converted them back all at one go. I think I've used dds command line tools from nvidia. So, after editing the png files, I just had to doubleclick the script and and were ready to start the game. btw. Using jpeg as workfile is a crime imo. |

I use Paint.net which can open dds files by default.
No plugins needed. |

From my earlier play-arounds, LFS is very picky about the used DDS format. Ed. I'll try later to compile a package that does all the conversion with two clicks. |

As announced, I've put my old tools together in one handy folder.
Download rar (1mb) -Put the textures you want to edit (if you want even all) into that folder. -Run extract.bat to convert all DDS files in that folder into TGA files -Modify the TGA files as you wish -When done, run the pack.bat to repack all TGAs to DDS files Any further changes can be done directly to the TGA files, you just need to run pack.bat once again. (REMEMBER: ALWAYS MAKE COPIES OF YOUR TEXTURES) |
