Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

Playing with 3DS Max 2011 and 2012, and not having a great deal of success rendering LFS cars.

Has anyone managed to get this to work well? Everything I find on the internet seems to be for old versions (like 7 and 8) which I don't have.
