CPU Temperature
Hello,
So I recently downloaded few programs to see the temperature that my computer is working on. Since opening YouTube video will set the fans to operate at the maximum speed, However, Here is a screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/3sim38hp7/ My CPU is @88 Degrees Celsius?! Is that normal ? Is it possibly because I still didn't get the nVidia GPU and I'm currently with the HD4600 that came with the i7- 4770 (non-k)? |

RE: CPU Temperature
That is very bad, especially with highs of 100ºC!
I would check to see if your cpu cooler is plugged into the correct header on your motherboard and that it's attached properly. Other than that I'd suggest replacing the thermal paste or buying an aftermarket cpu cooler if you don't already have one Edit: As a reference, my AMD FX-8350 @ 4.4GHz, idles around 15ºC and maxes out at about 58ºc under 100% load. (Corsair H80i cooler with Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste) |

RE: CPU Temperature
I have Intel's stock cooling.
but, If i change that, I'm afraid of losing my computer warranty... The problem is, the air that coming out of the CPU Fan doesn't seem to be hot It make me thinks that there is something wrong with the sensors... .. Opening Google Chrome makes the temperature go from ~70 to 88... |

RE: CPU Temperature
Idle and load temps are pretty meaningless without ambient temps. The middle east is quite a hot place and it wouldn't surprise me if it was over 40 degrees C up there right now. You might want to look into a better CPU cooler to cope with the temps, most Intel are rated to 105 degrees C and getting that close will be bad if you keep getting close like that.

RE: CPU Temperature
Right now, 23 Degrees Celsius. Rainy weather
Tried a program called Load Tester and my CPU Usage went to 20percents. The CPU Frequency went down to 2Ghz (From 3.4Ghz, Turbo off) Reached 100 degrees in less than 30 seconds. |

RE: CPU Temperature
Well considering my PC is essentially inside my desk, it's suffocated from a lot of air so my ambient teps will be higher than average anyways... It's been about 20C here today and, I've had Rivatuner Statistics Server open and the highest I saw my CPU go to was 60C. Intel processors will go to 104C but that is worst case scenario, anything over 95C is concerning, regardless of ambient temperature, unless your setup is in the middle of the Sahara, outside.
Average ambient temperature inside my case is roughly 34C looking at my motherboard temperature sensor after about half an hour of general use. |

RE: CPU Temperature
Intel states the maximum operating temp is 100°C, but try refitting the cooler, if that doesn't work, buy some thermal paste.

RE: CPU Temperature
Clean your PC and make sure it has correct airflow. Cool air coming from the front, hot air from the rear exhaust fan. If you cannot feel hot air coming from the exhaust fan you may have it installed the wrong way, meaning the only way it could be exhausting the hot air is from the power supply fan.
You only need to look at the arrows in this picture above. This shows how airflow works in PC cases. |

My PC is clear, no dust, brand new. Can't really do anything except of returning it, Since it's still under warranty. |

Enclosing a computer case inside a desk is pure suicide. You might want to look into moving it someplace else. Your processor should be running around 72c as per Intel's specifications. If this computer was built by a shop and still is under warranty, bring it back. |

RE: CPU Temperature
Sebas, where does Intel say that?! As per specification, the normal should be around 30-40°C and absolute maximum operating temperature is 100°C Intel's are naturally a cooler CPU because of the lithography of 14-22nm and low power consumption

RE: CPU Temperature
Certainly way too high and i would suggest a good cleaning and/or a proper cpu fan. They are really not that expensive and will keep it easily below 50°. Just ask the guy you bought it from to fit one, if you have that option.
Wouldn't worry much about damage, these cpu's are pretty safe and will throttle themselves to prevent damage. |

Its brand new and under warranty. The BEST thing to do is just to bring it back where he bought it. Its their problem if it doesn't work right.
