Washed the Civic today and also tried to polish the bonnet area quickly to see the effect.

It certainly got rid of all the weird discolored areas you can see all around the car. The result is a much whiter car and even a slight reflection Laugh

Like whitening your teeth.

Finished the whole car. Some parts are impossible to fix with this method since there are rust spots that have been spray painted over in cold blood with a totally random white paint Laugh

But overall it's much better anyway.
