LFS's gifs [56k beware]

Ok I've tried Gifcam and my gifs are just heavy. I didn't capture too long and not too big (the capture area), I've already tested different settings but it doesn't solve the problem, example 7 MB for a 5 seconds gif.

Any tips on how I could reduce the weight ?

Press the "New" from the down arrow next to the recording button. If you fail to press that, it will just record more stuff on top of each other.

Never mind, you probably know this anyway. My .gifs are usually over 20-30 Mbs.

1. Lower the resolution of your .gif - Everything over 800x600 is mostly uncessary.
2. When you record something keep the camera still, that way there are less changes per picture and that keeps the filesize down.

Good advice. Always thought that 30 Mb is a bit too much.

VirtualDub is super easy , you just clicl the first pic and It loads the rest , then apply the resize filter to lower the size and import it as animated gif

Can someone help me with this issue?? For some reason GifCam spazzes out and only produces green rubbish images when saving as Quantized or Nearest Color. I've tried everything but can't get it to work.

I believe that is something to do with the colour rate, I have had it a few times.

I seem to just manage however, someone mentioned to me it is because the colours are locked at 256 RGB or something like that so it needs to change some how. Unfortunately I don't know how on GifCam with me being a new user
