RE: Logitech G27 annoying sound
Yeah it's normal when you crash harder into something or by driving over a speedbump as you said. I get the same "sounds" even though my G27 is brand new, so you shouldn't worry at all.

RE: Logitech G27 annoying sound
Np, if you start to that noise more often when not driving over a speedbump for example then somethings wrong.

RE: Logitech G27 annoying sound
Not normal, common problem with G27's. I'm hopefully making a warranty claim to get mine fixed, their is a fix for it where you use four nuts and a screw but I'd only do it if you are sure of your skills! (It also makes FFB stronger and removes the small dead zone apparently)

RE: Logitech G27 annoying sound
Its quite normal, but you could lower the force feedback effects - decreases the vibrating.

RE: Logitech G27 annoying sound
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LzEc8nqMDk This is the likely cause of the problem you are having
http://www.jlvrh.de/G27_UK.htm This is a guide of how to take your G27 apart Please note, these are not my photos. These parts should block the movement of the shafts on the motors that provide the FFB but leave to much play (Hence the noise going over bumps) so you are going to want to remove this. Remove the white parts (Can't remember the name of them) Remove the springs behind them Then make new holes bigger for the new nut, bolt, spring assembly to fit in Glue your two small nuts to the base What the previous photo should look like from the other side, to give you a better idea of the size Start re-assembling things with the piston covering the nut. Start to screw in the other nut/bolt until it touches be back of the piston then you should be able to screw things all back together A drawing to show the problem, and the solution that you have just done, this should remove the horrible noise and help with the small dead zones that early G27's especially had. Once Logitech have send me my replacement G27 I maybe make a video on how to do this, sorry if it is unclear but this is what I understand from the articles/things I've read. Note: Only do this if you feel confident in your own ability. |
