Can someone explain to me how you make the actual textures, how do you know what size to make them? Are their any templates ect, how do you do the fancy stuff when the car turns on, or anyone willing to share? (I won't edit or redistribute them)

I cant click on anything in the options, very weird..

It's not that part that I don't understand, its the making of the .jpg for the cluster/dash/dials that I don't get

U have all the files in the folder " LFSLazy " , and there , you have another folder called "GAUGES " , there you got the cars and you can edit the files ,...

Oh i just edited the RPM meter texture a bit and removed the "max speed/RPM reached" feature, which is not possible to see on that picture.

The texture info is placed in LFSLazy\Gauges\[Car] folder, there you can see many textures, including background and other separted parts. Edit a texture in photoshop or any other professional software, i use Photoshop, quite easy to edit after a while. Just a tip, in many cars top part of the texture is used for the speedometer/RPM meter part, bottom texture part is used for other parts of the dashboard. Well theres not any more tip i can add because its all about the editing you do.

Why not, I have made MRT realistic looking dash allready, tomorrow I might head into making one for FZ5.

If enough people would want it I could create a pack of dashes for all the cars.

Had a go at skinning tonight, well more sticking logos on a car and one orange/red bar, still very frustrating to use photoshop.

If anyone has any advice on how to do more advance stuff, like creating shapes and stuff or can point me in the right direction would be muchly appreciated as I've no idea how to start right now, I did this using the "making a basic cop skin" thread on here haha

I would personally suggest starting and finishing a few basic/intermediate tutorials with Photoshop unrelated to skinning to get used to shortcuts, and to learn your way around the program itself.
That's not to say you can't learn things with the cop/general skinning tutorials, but it would help immensely if you're having trouble with getting around PS in my opinion.
