Tired of full servers

Hi all!

So i started to play LFS again, and noticed that the TC servers mostly have full servers. I have to sit and press the update button until a free slot appears.

So how about doing it like the CS servers do? Donate money and get a reserved slot on the servers?

Your first post here, and you made a suggestion that was only thought with yourself in mind, without taking time to read the other thread that was made very shortly.

Seriously, some consideration would be nice, no offence.

Anyway, if your going to offer to pay in money, how about not paying money to boot our regulars out of the server just so that yourself can play, and instead offer to run another server?

I hope you can now see why that suggestion is ill-thought out.

I did not see the other thread, but I take your word for it that this has been discussed.

Micro-transactions has been very succesfull for TF2, so I disagree to the "people don't like to spend read money for ingame-stuff"
About the admin password for reserved slot I have no idea.

That's with TF2, this is LFS and TC. Players on TC don't like the way of buying yourself to the top.

Er, not the first post... been a member of TC for a while now, my forum account got deleted for some reason... probably inactivity.

Pfft, boot out "regulars" ... Yeah, the suggestion was to create some way to get a reserved slot, I did not mean to boot regulars, it was more of a suggestion of not having to queue.

What will you do when 32 users have paid to reserve slots and then the server becomes full? Back to square 1..

Another point... If you have a reserved slot; will the server either fill up and then kick 'non-reserved' people when you try to join? Or just keep reserved slots free and only allow the user who has paid to use them?

I do not know, why did you assume that i ment a reserved slot on a full server? Why not as Tommer said, start another server... I am tired of having to wait to get into a server. It was just an idea.

Yeah, so getting a third cruise server is out of the question, and only one of the servers will be filled after a while, but what about McGherkins suggestion?

I don't see why that wouldn't work, unless there are security issues in the way, but again I don't see why there would be.

Hopefully the popularity of the servers should die down a bit, in terms of freeing up slots - most of it is largely related to the new InSim updates.

I have actually always gotten in way easier than usually, there has always randomly been one slot free for me to join And a big minus from here too to the pay-for-extra slot thingy.

That is kind of what all the people on the other 2 threads about getting a third server said... I guess I'm impatient.
Very well, this has been a nice chat... I don't see why people should shout at me any more for a outrageous suggestion like this, I feel happy about the responses and thus don't see why this thread should be open no more.
