DRIVER STATS
on the forum in the server stats section you can view multiple driver stats (most money, most km, ect.)
what about a new stat for in game and online forum....... DRIVER NET WORTH a figure generated by the "net" value of the player, for example in real life you may own a house two cars and a bike, but only have 10 dollers in your bank. if that was a stat like shown right now you wouldnt make any list (not with 10 dollers lol)! but really your worth so much more then your monetary number. realisticly in game: i have 10000 euros, xrt, xrg, rb4. so my net worth would be>> MONEY + CARS (trad value not new), then as people progress in the game your car values go down so your net goes down but you may buy a new car an need a new garage then you net goes up because the new car an garage (the garage is a constent it wont loose value mostly like a home irl). also more time goes on and you need to service your cars, this factor may take money away from you temporaraly but it raises a % of value to your car TBD by the equation of the vehicals life % and trad value. so my NET WORTH would be: 47,000 euros each players net worth are specific to them as well due to the new VIN sytem cuse you may have the same money an cars as another driver but each your cars vins are different so different values = a overall different net worth from each other..... this needs some work with the math equations and ingame and online forum application differences but give it a look .... think this will be a great addition to the [TC] community an bring a whole new outlook on some motivations of gameplay... ~~thank you much [PTD] BRETT370GT |

thank you guys for agreeing
---i am actually in the proccess of over the last week or so to write a app to take car of this idea though i keep having trouble with the math behind it lol, it seems as i described simple adding and subtracting of assests but it not lol when it comes to codes ..... plus i can only do so much without haveing an "insim" i just keep track of my own progress an use that to document and imput data in my own program. so i need the help of a tc programer if they like the idea to continue any further in development, that is why im posting now to the suggestion thread... thank you all again ~~Brett |

You will have to remember to take depreciation into account, so the value of each car will go down as condition does - but I do not believe that the condition is displayed anywhere publicly.
Apart from that, if your wanting to automatically get this info, you could just scrape the data off the given driver's stats page: http://insim.city-driving.co.uk/license....e=johnm626 Would be very easy to do in almost any programming language. As for the original idea, I guess it would be a nice statistic to add to license page of each user, or a page on the stats. |

as to the value of the cars they would gradually bring the net value down also depending on the % the condition goes down. this is another facter that will ensure all players have a net worth just there own. ty |

I would have already done it weeks ago but its a bit more work on second view.
Car values are the result of some calculations and I can't do those calculations in realtime, each time a web-request is made. This would cause an huge impact on the cpu and database. I will need to pre-calculate everything within the Insim and store the ready-to-use values. Maybe this weekend. |

chuck i was thinkin the same thing i think that is part the reason why on my small scale version i been workin on the calculations were much harder then addin an subtractin lol i def hear where ur comin from an if i have some breakthrugh that will help you over the weekend i will pm. but ty vm for takin a look and considering

You could use the resale value of the car ? (If it means less work of course)
The net worth would essentially be a situation that they would be 'Selling back to the Insim' rather than to players right ? So using the Resale value of the car would be an alright place to start ? |
