Hi folks,

Entry for WestRally Round One is now open! Just to recap on a couple of things from the announcement:

WestRally is a rally event taking place over 6 stages dotted around the Westhill complex. The first three WestRally stages will be taking place on Saturday July 25th, at 6PM BST. The final three stages will be taking place after the Gumball 3000, the exact date TBC.

• Entry is FREE!
• Entry is restricted to TBO cars only.
• While not mandatory, I HIGHLY ADVISE (hint hint ;D) that you wear/make a rally skin for the car you are entering in.
• There will be a InSim cash prize of €25,000 to the winner of each half of the event, meaning a total of €50,000 up for grabs!
  

Also, before we move on to the paperwork, here are a couple of rules and information regarding WestRally:

• The first three WestRally stages will be taking place on Saturday July 25th, at 6PM BST (British Summer Time).
• The server information will be sent out to competitors via [TC] Forum PMs at 4PM BST, two hours before the first stage begins.
• Signups will close at 3PM on the day of the event.
• The car you select to use in the rally must be used by you in all stages you practice and compete in.
• The server will be opened at 5PM BST, one hour before the event begins. Competitors will be given 20 minutes practice time on each stage before the event begins, to familiarise yourselves with the layouts.

I have a question:

What mixture of road surface will it be? Mainly tarmac with a little grass or? Also cutting, what is the stance on that?

To answer your questions:

1). Road surface will depend on the stage. You will be given 20 minutes per stage to acquaint yourself with them before the event.

2). We will be fairly strict on cutting, though it will be up to staff members discretion. Better be safe than sorry!
