Onboard Camera (Which One) ?
Right guys, i am wanting to get an onboard camera that i can attach to the side of my crash helmet for my go-karting -and sometimes when i am on my grandads motorbike-.
The camera needs to be: *easy to use *good quality *reasonably small *around £200 (Max £300) I have been looking at 2 main manufactures (Go Pro +Contour) More specificaly the Go Pro Hero 2 or the Contour+ What do you guys think ? Thanks |

RE: Onboard Camera (Which One) ?
I could suggest mine, Opticam HDMax Extreme, I paid 200€ from it, FULLHD quality with multiple video and picture quality options, comes with several objects you use to attach the camera on something.
You can see some of the videos I took with it on FULLHD Quality on > Multimedia > Sierra! And see if you think it's good |

Sticky Tape + HD CamCorder.... Why would you bother with the pro gear when all you want is to play around?
Really? You need to consider all your options, My RC Heli FPV cam was $150 and its also a HDD Recorder. |

RE: Onboard Camera (Which One) ?
Double sided tape? Really, have you seen the size of them now days? I know a mate from the RC heli club put a recorder on the chopper and it was really tiny, he used it on his RC Car's too.
IMHO, Its practical, cheap, good to start with. Why go and buy the most expensive, professionally used gadget when you dont need too? Save your money, go for a cheaper option that can be just as good, and if you want to, Upgrade later. My next thing was going to be, where are you putting it, and if nobody likes it or views it in Youtube or something, you will loose interest and ditch it, There goes a $500 (AUD) product. P.S - Shouldn't this be in Off Topic? This isnt related to TC City-Driving |

If he gets bored, he can sell it on. |

The Opticam I have is pretty good, can be attached on motorbike helmet, bike helmet, bike rack, car windshield, car dashboard..
Very useful and got it for 199.90€ Good quality, the video doesn't get all the small vibration but the sound from it.. I'm very happy of it, tho you have to buy a seperate SDHC memory card for it.. Other: HDMI Cable, AV cable, USB cable, microphone.. All of that comes with the box, except the memorycard. |

IMO, I wouldn't get a GoPro for karting, it will make you look an ass because it will stick out so much lol.
My Friend use a ContourHD 1080P, £159 on amazon. |
