RE: Your Job
Im still in school, but i have to do tests too for my job when im going to work..
I currently do mechanics (full name: precision-mechanical techniques) wich is basicly learning to work with computer controlled machines (CNC). I also get lessons for technical drawings, where are alot of rules u have to folow for companies who have to make the product you drew. A test i did, is the ba4 test(in-school used only), wich makes me able to work on electrical circuits of 400volts ans less. In a few weeks i will have to do the VCA test (means 'Veiligheids Certificaat) wich i must redo only every 10 years. Thats about how to work safely in working zones and stuff. I like what i do |

I'm training to be an ICT Technician in the RAF (Royal Air Force). The training we get is pretty much non stop and health and safety is drilled into you in everyway possible. Finished the Radio and Radar phase of training a few weeks ago and we're now doing Computer building/maintenance, Networking and things like that.

RE: Your Job
As you probably know, I work in the Ambulance Service in England. I am a qualified Emergency Medical Technician/Ambulance Technician (working as part of a 2-man crew on an ambulance) and First Responder (working [normally from home] as a solo responder on a car).
As a First Responder I am trained in Basic Life Support and a few extra skills, to help deliver life support through a 'First Person on Scene' basis, where I beat other crews to the scene of life-threatening calls. In respect to the whole scope of the service, it is actually quite a basic role within the NHS. As an EMT I am trained in Intermediate Life Support. This includes a wide range of clinical and practical skills to deal with a large scope of complaints. If you want me to list everything my certificate says i am certified in I can... So what is it you actually do Saphy? Are all of those things you've listed individual courses? |

I work in a hotel doing pretty much anything, got a quick health and safety briefing when I first started but I mostly just pick things up as I go along.
I also enjoy a nice glass of Scotch. |
