+ Unjustified Ban (Unban Request Granted by Blacktop)

Hi

I know this probably wont work but i'm going to try.

Evidence: Not available due to unexpected ban
Reason for request: I was in a chase when i took a corner at a high speed and as i turned in there was someone in the way who never made way for the chase so we crashed head on and i got busted, after being busted he stopped behind me and expected me to say sorry for something i could not control and that was not my fault
i say this because i know that the rules say to make way for a chase and that was not what was done, So he demanded that i say it and i refused as it was not really my fault then he would not let me drive demanding that i say sorry the whole time, as a result he killed my mood so i disconnected and was banned for 14 days for this. I like TC maby not as much as i thought i would but i do because it is the most active server in LFS and now that this was done i don't know if i will be able to enjoy TC as much as i did which is a shame because there are good people here. I don't have evidence because i never thought i would be banned for an accident that was not on me there for i did not see the need to get any.

That corner you took, on the wrong side of the road (more on that shortly), is completely blind. If you had checked your map, you would have seen the oncoming vehicle. Rule 3.2 states that you should try as much as possible to stay on the correct side of the road when in a chase, and that "Being in a chase is no excuse for hitting other cars, and will be treated like ramming.".

As a police officer that was in pursuit of you, it looked very clear to me that if you had slowed down a tad, and had remained at the correct side of the road then the collision simply wouldn't have happened.

Apologising after a collision, especially after a collision you've caused, is an essential part of the [TC] server etiquette. I can see that as you believed you were not at fault, that you saw no reason to apologise.

I do have a comment.

As i was in a pursuit around a long bend there was no time to look at the map and because i did try to slow down the car lost traction on the back wheels which forced me into the opposite lane so i had to go with it, When i saw the other car i tried to get out of the way which is more then i can say about the one i crashed into, I noticed that he kept coming straight to me making no attempt to move and he might of intentionally moved in front of me to try and prove something,i'm not sure why but it looked like it to me.

When i was phased with the same situation i did all i could to make way for the chase even at the last minute i was able to move in time so i don't see why he couldn't have done the same, Besides i have never been reported for ramming in any server on LFS ever because i don't like having a damaged car and i'm not one to spite other people for my own problems and thats what i feel happened here the one who i crashed made absolutely no attempt to avoid the crash in fact he might of done it on purpose and because no on else saw this i was seen as the one in the wrong and thats what makes this ban unjustified, i;m not sure why he dose not like me maby because i'm not one for social activity when driving so he dose not know me or sees me as noob, Or maby he wanted to be chased but all the cops were following me. IDK why but there must be a reason for his actions, that crash could of been avoided if he tried

It doesn't look like you were forced anywhere, judging by your steering and pedal inputs. Any traction lost certainly didn't hinder you.

Your braking suggests to me that you barely had time to react, let alone make an attempt to return to the correct side of the road. Did you really manage to decipher this much information from the oncoming car, given that there was a little over a second between the car entering your line of sight, to the moment of collision?

Going back to Rule 3.2; Try as much as possible to stay on the correct side of the road., and taking into account the positions of police officers behind you, I'd say that you didn't really have any business being on the wrong side.

You were on his side of the road, therefore you were in the wrong. I was the second police car back, and I saw it as it unfolded.

As it stands at the moment, you haven't given me any major reason to unban you. You have given no admission of fault, nor any apology for your rule-breaking. You refuse to accept blame, instead blaming anything and everything else, even going so far as to suggest that you were rammed.

Well first of all watching that vid is not a option for me second of all i dont use a wheel a use a gamepad which if you had any experience using you would know how unpredictable it can be in intense situations. Who reported me? because the only person ever been rammed is the one who intentionally Rammed me when i slipped out (span out) into another lane and tried to get back in in my lane,instead of letting me through he smashed and pushed me in the wrong direction. And seeing that what i was expecting is happening and i know my defense counts for nothing so i'm sorry it was my fault, you right i'm wrong i just dont understand why i was banned for 14 days from a accident but thats over now. sorry

Though I use a wheel now, I started off playing LFS with a PS2 controller. I'd have to disagree, I find it just as predictable as any other racing game with a bit of practice with it. Besides, as I said previously, the car is well under your control throughout the clip.

If you watch the clip of the incident, you will see that your defense actually has very little correlation to what had actually happened.

You were banned due to your breach of Rule 3.2: Try as much as possible to stay on the correct side of the road. Being in a chase is no excuse for hitting other cars, and will be treated like ramming.

I'm keeping this unban request open for you for now, as I'd rather you watched the clip, in order for you to have a greater understanding of your actions which had led you to the ban.

yeah well there's no surprise that i'm banned for a reason like this, I'm use to being the one people put the blame on and i use a wireless XBOX 360 controller so it can be unpredictable because other signals tend to interfere with the connection and when that happens the car either dose not respond for a second or two or it steers/throttles on its own therefor you don't know what its like, I can tell by the reply on that section.

And the reason i was banned if something that small is worth a 2 week ban then TC mods need to calm TF down because thats a unreasonable duration for a un intentional ram. Answer me this, How long dose a intentional rammer get banned?

And you are wrong, I was not banned for this i was banned because i did not obey a direct command, Like mods and admins hate so much you treated me like a RL government treats civilians punishing me because i refused to be someones bi**h
I'll say it like a said before, NO!

You can ban and ban and ban until there's little left of TC and it would not phase me in the least. I see now why S2 has way less activity then i expected when i was a demo user, Lucky for me i always have backup plans

I'm sorry, but I would have to disagree. I regularly play Rocket League and Project Cartographer (Halo Online on PC), and the only issue I've found was the batteries dying.

As I've said previously, you were banned due to breach of Rule 3.2, and your blatant refusal to accept that fact. Rule 1.3 also states that you must drive on the correct side of the road. You have logged 44hrs of playtime since you have first joined back in February, which is plenty time to familiarise yourself with the rules. You could quote Rule 1.5 no problem in your OP, where you said "there was someone in the way who never made way for the chase". This tells me that even if you didn't know any rule after 1.5, surely you'd know the previous rules up to that. You can review our rules here.

I'll say it like a said before, NO!

No, as I've said previously, you were banned for breach of Rules 1.3 and/or 3.2. You were driving on the wrong side of the road on a blind corner, and you hit a car. You had plenty of time to anticipate the car coming via the map. As stated under 1.3/3.2, Crashes due to this will be treated as ramming.

Thats because you prob have wifi which cant interfere with connection to controller. I use a mobile device which can interfere.

And part two if i had said sorry i would not have been banned otherwise my ban would of been issued on the spot and not 3 minutes after my mood was killed and i left and no that fact that i know that you must make way for a chase is because 1 all cruise servers are like that, 2 i am a cop in LCS the best cruise server in LFS! and 3 its like that in real life...

I was working my way to becoming a cop in TC but that ship sailed 4 days ago

This is irrelevant, as there is no evidence of interference in the context of the clip. There are no wild swings in steering or in the pedals. In order to maintain the line you took, smooth inputs are necessary to maintain your speed. This is what we see throughout.

So you're telling me that you know well enough to keep away from chases, but you don't see anything wrong with driving head-on into another car? If you did say sorry, it would have helped your case enormously, as that'd say to me that at least you'd have a basic understanding that what you had done was wrong. However I did not, and still don't see that, even though I had broken down what you had done wrong a number of times throughout my previous posts.

There's nothing stopping you from continuing on your path to becoming a cop on the servers upon your return.

I'm going to break this down as simple as possible, so that you can answer in as simple terms as possible also.

• Do you understand that you've broken Rule 1.3?
• Do you understand that crash was your fault, as a result of your breaking Rule 1.3?
• Do you apologise for the crash that you had caused, as a result of your breaking Rule 1.3?
  

If you can answer yes to these three points, then perhaps we may proceed with talk about an unban. If you can't, think I think we're both wasting our time on this unban request.
