XFR shifting
Hello users of TC driving one and two ,
I have a qeustion about the shifting with a XFR. I have got a G27 and i just want to shift with my H pattern but it does not work... All other cars works for me so far. But i dont like shifting with the things on the wheel. Does anybody have a solution for this? I really want to shift with my H pattern on a XFR. Greetz Cheb |

RE: XFR shifting
You can't, its a sequental gearbox in the XFR, which means no h-shifter, after my knowledge.

RE: XFR shifting
Yeah, its sequential shifting only in an XFR.
I'm un-familiar with the G27; But on my G25 you can switch the 'H-Shifter' Between 'H-Mode' and 'Sequential Up-Down Mode' Then all i need to do is re-bind my 'Shift+ and Shift-' Keys in LFS. However as i said, i'm not sure if you can do this with the G27. Hope this helped Cheb, Dids |

RE: XFR shifting
I believe I saw something on the LFS commands stuff, where you can use commands to change car's gearing.. Not sure if it's possible, haven't tried yet.

RE: XFR shifting
Yeah You could assign your 3rd & 4th to 'Up and Down' gear modes, However there wouldn't be a center spring, so you would have to Push and pull the shifter in order to have a realistic sequential gear change :/

RE: XFR shifting
That's true. Or then get a Joystick and assign it to do it instead of the shifter.

RE: XFR shifting
For sequential cars, my wheel automatically binds itself to shift with the paddles and the assignments on the paddles move to the gearstick. It reverts when I get back into a normal car.
However, that's with DFP, so I don't know if that'll work on the G27. |

RE: XFR shifting
I have in fact assigned my sequential shift buttons to two of the four black buttons on top of the G25 shifter.. Not realistic and probably not the best thing to use but I use sequential shift cars so rarely that it ain't a problem. Also my flappy paddles are mapped as the turning signals.
