the standard ones on the new one arent to bad, its the amount of chrome in his ones.

Hehe it's fun that many of you dislikes it. In Sweden it's very popular with clear rear lights. In my opinion the original rear lights of the car looked too old (they're from 2000) and I wanted a facelift of the car that's why I bought them and I love them! Wink

Yes there is one that are chrome original but still don't like it that much, but ey'.. it's not my car so Smile

Also got new tires, got 4 of them to the left and 4 of the one on the right (that soon will be gone Smile

They were a huge fad here in Finland too, ten years ago... Laugh

I was 7 years old and loved them, but so I loved BMW M-style mirrors on random cars, chameleon paint jobs and other crap which I despise nowadays, now I'm all for OEM.

Haha true story. But my plan is not to do a 2fast2furious car of it and as I said before I changed my rear lights because of the age and i'm not tired of my clear rear lights yet Wink

I used to have LED 'Smoked' Black Rear lights on my car; So that the light would shine through but with no lights on they looked solid black Wink

However i sold my car February :/
I think they looked better than the equivalent 'Lexus Style'
But who cares; MX5's are nice cars, I've heard that they handle well at speed too Smile

Well, as of the 25th March 2012 (2 years to the day that I passed my driving test), I am officially a 106 GTI owner. Smile

A 4 hour drive there and a 4 hour drive back (I was driving the GTI back as I managed to get insurance on it from my current insurance policy on my 1.1), my smile was literally from ear to ear. They are such an under estimated little car. Maybe i'm biased, but for the money, I would seriously think it's probably one of the nippiest cars around.

Drove 200 miles in it today and it was an absolute pleasure. Was in 5th gear for most of the Welsh mountain roads, but when I needed that power, by god it was there. I need to learn how to use the "gas" pedal again as with my 1.1 if I dump it to the floor, it just drives off. In this, it wheel spins in 1st and 2nd gear. Not good lol.

Engine is on 97k but it hasnt got a rattle, knock or anything. Not even the dreaded idle problem like most 106s (and like my blue one!)

As you can see, I absolutle love the car haha. Tongue

It's had a recent rear beam, and is on standard height, but that doesnt look too healthy either to be honest. Will know more tomorrow when I take it to work with me. Maybe the 60mm drop in the front and standard height rear makes it look worse than it actually is.

Recent refurb on the Alloys and sprayed in an anthracite colour with 185/55/14 tyres.

It's got some Carbon looking Air Filter

Oil breather

Lowered 60mm on front with springs. Looks like standard dampers though.

Some decat pipe with standard exhaust. Sounds quite nice tbh, but PugSport will be fitted from my 1.1 onto it Smile

Carbon wrapped bump strips all round

After market lazerline immobiliser

And thats pretty much it. Still even got the "Peugeot" and "106" badges on the rear etc. Very standard looking car.

Ooh and before anyone else asks. No, I wont be using it in Autotests lol. I'm done with them. I'm stripping the blue pug for parts and scrapping it. But still might be driving it until May 1st unless Admiral give me a nice quote on it, on tuesday Smile
