Busroutes: Less pay for smaller busses/vans
So as far as I know, busroutes payout the same amount of money no matter what size bus you pick. This way the system/stats can be abused since you can obviously drive busroutes faster in your old mercedes van than in a big city bus.
My suggestion is to make a different payout for big/normal busses, and small vans/busses like the gruzrunner. It makes sense: less seats, less pay. Also, maybe disable the ability to use the VAN configuration of the gruzrunner to drive busroutes. Really. |

RE: Busroutes: Less pay for smaller busses/vans
Honestly, it would be better if HGV buses that can barely move out of their own ways to become base +4 or even +5 Vehicles. I did several controlled tests with the Scama K460 and the Gruz where the Gruz can finish a route 30% quicker over a 10 min period and bring an extra 30-40 euros in driving income. Reducing bus route payment would just make it less favorable for that job compared to courier/taxi/freight jobs.

RE: Busroutes: Less pay for smaller busses/vans
The idea is generally ok, I just need to find a formula to keep the incomes fair and comprehensible. Counting seats alone may fall a bit short as someone will come up with a 60 seat bus and expects 60x the pay-out. That's a bit too simple.

RE: Busroutes: Less pay for smaller busses/vans
+1 from me. The same thing is the issue with cargo/freight transport.
For instance, I drive the full Scama truck which can carry up to 5,000kg of cargo but its infinitely slower and takes longer to load compared to the extra 20 or 30 euro you get for picking a big freight instead of a 900kg one which goes way faster too with a smaller vehicle. Same thing applies for bussing, i keep seeing that same small bus just speeding running the stops while I'm using a proper city bus. |

+1 but I don't see this as an immediate issue as people are happily driving different busses around from what I seen. It's not a concentration of 70-90% gruzrunners

RE: Busroutes: Less pay for smaller busses/vans
+1, the system should take in consideration various busses, they can have a huge difference in speed between each other, Gruz runner being the quickest ofc, but for the system they're all the same. Just looking at the Power-weight ratio quickly tells which busses are better suited for the job currently, and nothing comes anywhere close to the Gruz Runner. I would even argue it maybe shouldn't even be considered as a bus, but then it also could be argued that not every map/route is suited for bigger busses (even though it's possible to do bus jobs on South City just fine even with a Karobus, but it slows down traffic a lot because usually need to take up 2 lanes to take a turn)
