Freight system suggestion
As a P&D driver in real life, I'm picking up (P) and delivering (D) all sorts of freight every day. From food items, to furniture, machines, paint, oil drums, etc.
At one point i might have 10 different shipments in my 16 meter trailer through the day. I'm limited to 14,000 kg so my dispatcher is always maximizing my trailer usage. What if the current freight system allowed you to pick up more than one shipment in the same location, instead of just one? (similar to parcel system) I have the scama in game and with the extra cargo extensions, i have a 6,000KG capacity, but sometimes the available freight at a given location still leaves "space" for more. But to not over complicate the system, only allow pickups at 1 origin location (example 4 total shipments totaling 6000kg) and no more pickups until all freight is delivered at the final location of that 4th shipment. Just a thought. |

+1 I think it's a good suggestion especially when the cargo amounts are small even though you have so much space.
On a side note I think it would also be a good idea to redo the cargo capacities of heavy mods, because I personally cannot comprehend how the TUG mod has 10,000kg capacity for cargo when it has absolutely zero actual cargo space, vs. the huge Scama truck which has a huge trailer and only 5000kg of capacity. |

Multi-drop for cargo would be good to see and I agree with the loading capability based on size. |

The TUG was given 10 tons to have at least one truck that can do the biggest available
loads in one drive. Just imagine it would take a full container on its top, not that hard. And it is very slow and should be driven with care, P V L. |

The idea has been asked for a few times. While it sounds interesting, it is pretty much incompatible with the current system. The current system has high value cargo, for cars with <1t capacity and then bulk cargo (1t-9t), like sand, gravel, etc.
Those are only worthy when using a big truck. The different values were chosen specifically to have reasonable profits with small transporters and big transporters. You can see, if we just allow multiple high value cargos to be transported, it kinda messes up with the calculations we did. So the new system would have to be designed from ground up. And it also looks like sharing jobs between multiple players is also impossible. Many things to consider .... |

If the bulk cargo and small freight (let's say <600kg for example) can be "separated" it might be worthwhile, while only allowing single player for multiple loads and leaving co-op for single shipments regardless of size the way it already is, if that's a possibility with the current system without needing to overhaul everything.
I was thinking that even though multiple small loads might bring in more money collectively, it's still going to take a bit to load everything in if you're filling to capacity, and you are still going to have to drive to the destinations 1 at a time, so there will still be a lot of time involved in the operation which is part of the reason why i suggested that the player can't pick up more freight until all of the freight on the "manifest" is delivered. |

It's unrealistic to just "use my imagination" to picture a big container on top of the TUG. We have a realistic high cargo truck, why not use mods that make sense for what they are designed for. |

Otherwise the TUG mod is given special treatment simply cause you guys love it, even though for the cargo job it doesn't make sense for it to have that capacity. I like the mod as well and think its fun, but its not consistent with the rest of the mods and job systems. |

How about what Jardim suggested but add another type of cargo called valuable cargo that you can only carry up to 1 ton of but it makes just as much as 10 tons of regular cargo or something similar. That way even if you drive a big truck you can only carry 1 ton of valuable cargo same as you would with a small van. But then you also have to option to load up your big truck fully with multiple trips that would roughly make same as the valuable cargo would. |

I think allowing multiple shipments under 1000kg to be picked up from one location only, while keeping bulk as is would help revamp the system a lot.
Since we are on the subject of freight, i have places that load me (forklift) and other places where i have to help myself. Maybe incorporating a system where load times stay same as they are now if you self load and get max profit vs a shipper load where it's 50% faster load time but also costs 10%-20% of your total earnings. |

We can already have up to 4 helpers to get the load and unload done faster.
Therefore we pay 10% to each of the helpers, taken from our payment. |
