We already occasionally observe people initiate chases with friends to speed around with sirens. If there was no income loss as a suspect, then neither cop nor suspect suffer any penalty for the duration of the chase, and they can simply just do !lost to avoid the fine. |

RE: Removal of the updated speedtrap
Here's an idea.
What if the automated-fine radar trap was only accessible for HWA? So regular can only do the wanted speedtrap. So it could be just like these temporary roadworks, like small RP stuff. |

RE: Removal of the updated speedtrap
I just realized that ADMINS can setup a speed trap and just go AFK for longer than what us mere mortals can go AFK for (10 mins)
Speed traps should have a set time that they are allowed to be installed with a cooldown period before being installed again. This is getting ridiculous, I can't even laser anymore! everyone is just going the speed limit! |

RE: Removal of the updated speedtrap
Yeah, i forgot, i also forgot about !Power request and added battery capacities. Either way any player or edmin can simply set up a trap and go outside and actually touch grass while people get aimlessly fined.
As chuck mentioned, people don't care, which is why i believe this is mainly for economy deflation, but the concentrated wealth is still in the same hands and those guys aren't usually the ones getting fined by the traps. Im not completely against it, but i really think the fines should be reduced by at least 50% because again, it is an effortless "job" |

RE: Removal of the updated speedtrap
Bring back the old speeding fines. Something to add: admins doesnt add realistic cars (just for an example: v8 g20) and it isnt realistic. But the new speedtrap isnt also "realistic". In real life, cops chase and "fine" people. They dont wait like a lazy noskill man and collect fines automaticly. Doesnt "TC" stand for that? This counts literally as zero skill, in TC we race and chase, we are not waiting everyone to get fined and think this is funny. But no this isnt funny, instead of having fun people hates this server more, wheres the fun of that? I really want the old speedtrap back. Literally no one loves this new system.

RE: Removal of the updated speedtrap
something to add to this unrealistic useless thing: for example irl im speeding and a radar car saw me, i dont want to pay fine and i want to chase or escape from that officer without fining. but in tc its different, so this is just if im speeding and a radar car sees me, he fines me but its like accepting the fine automaticly, so unrealistic haha please remove this old speedtrap is much better

RE: Removal of the updated speedtrap
Automatic fines that are taken from your bank account doesn't happen in real life, instead you get a bill in the mail that you have to pay. Non-payment comes with consequences such as vehicle apprehensions, or license suspensions.
What if there was a system where all of your fines are recorded and sent to you to a section in the HOME MENU, where you had an option and a time frame to pay the fines, and if you don't pay you have a permanent wanted level where the fine issued by the officer whether the suspect pulls over or attempts to escape is the total of the fines owed? If the suspect manages to escape then his name is cleared, if he is busted he will pay the fines. Another good way to do this would be to lock the fines to the VIN of the cars they were committed in, and if the person didn't pay the fines within a certain amount of time, that VIN would be "impounded" and unable to use until fines were paid |

The most decisive and overwhelming poll by the players in the history of [TC]... It is sad that this poll is still not appreciated.

There have been many cases of polls far more unanimous than this one. One of which is the introduction of Corby to the track rotation schedule, which was then implemented - and now people seem to regret it. I'm not saying that's what would happen here, but in some cases a majority of people don't always know what may or may not be best for the server. This is why [TC] don't automatically implement suggestions based on poll results. I can see both sides of the argument for this suggestion. I am also conscious of the fact we had the existing speedtrap system for many years without many complaints. |

RE: Removal of the updated speedtrap
I don't think speed traps should be removed. I just think that tickets shouldn't pollute the main chat. The person receiving the ticket should be notified in some other way.
