FZ5 Challenge ‘12 – Details and Entry list

Hello and welcome to the FZ5 Challenge ‘12 only at [TC] CityDriving!
This event will take place on a specially designed layout on the Fern Bay track.

The event date will be Saturday, 7th July 2012 starting at 7:30pm GMT+1 (UK time).

The Events server will hopefully have the layout uploaded by this weekend. Once it is, everyone whos entered will get a PM with the password to enter.

To be able to enter, you must pay an Entry fee of 3,000 €

All money can be payable to Mike141292 ([TC]>Mike<). This can be sent whilst I’m online or offline. Please state that you sent it to me in case I didn’t notice it.
All money must be paid before Sunday, 1st July 2012.

How it works:

The event will be based on a point-to-point basis and will consist of 5 runs on a specially designed layout using Fern Bay.

Each run will be roughly 10 minutes long and includes 2 laps. There will be 3 checkpoints throughout the 2 laps and the start line is at the end of the pit straight whilst the finish line is roughly 100 metres before the pit entrance. Both marked by white lines across the road.

Please note that there may be minor changes between now and the start date due to any problems or bugs that occur.

Each car will start roughly 30 seconds apart, meaning ALL cars could possibly be on the track at the same time.

Heading into the first corner there will be a “Merge” where a car starting lap two could possibly be coming down the main straight at the same time as a car starting his or her first lap. Caution is advised.

After the Rally Cross section, there will be a “Split”. On lap 1, you turn left up towards the beach. On Lap 2, you turn right to head straight to the finish and pit entrance. This is shown in a picture below:




AFTER YOU FINISH, PLEASE PARK IN PIT LANE UNTIL YOUR STAGE TIME IS WRITTEN DOWN! I or someone will tell you once your allowed to pit/spectate.

Penalties:

Hitting a Tire, hay bale etc will occur no penalty.

False starting will occur a 30 second penalty. No restart allowed.

Taking a short cut will occur a penalty. The penalty will be decided in each seperate case if this happens.

Prizes:

Entry fee: 3,000 Euros
1st Overall = 55% of Prize Pot
2nd Overall = 25% of prize pot
3rd Overall = 15% of prize pot
Fastest run = 5% of prize pot

Rules:

1. The run must have been using the correct route. Any short cuts through tires or barriers will result in final penalty.
2. Only the FZ5 is to be used. Any setup is allowed, as a good setup will make you go faster and vice versa.
3. No modifications are to be used, for example LFS tweak.
4. Money has to be paid to Mike141292 by the 1st of July 2012.
5. Late entries may be accepted depending on availability. There is a maximum entry of 25 cars.
6. The order of runners will be decided a day before and posted in a thread.
7. After you finish, please park in the pit lane until your time is written down.
8. Each run will be recorded to the nearest second. In the event of a tie, the fastest time from stage 1 will determine the winner. If stage 1 was a tie too, each consecutive stage will be looked at until a winner is made.
9. Please be there by 7:30pm (GMT+1 – UK time) as there will be a tight timescale!
10 The Events Server Password will be sent by PM after you sign up (or once the Events Server is set up).
